The storied Ramova Theatre stands as a testament to preservation done with care. Renovated by O'Riley Office, its terra-cotta facade, rosette window, and 1940s neon still glow, while inside, a restored Spanish Revival lobby gives way to a grand auditorium. Beyond the main hall, intimate venues, a brewery, and a retro diner keep the spirit of the block alive, honoring the theater’s deep roots in Chicago’s South Side community.

A compact, hit-and-run, business trip to St. Louis where we got in speaking at #iibec with @wjeassociates , a project site for fourth year studio at @iitarchitecture , and some serious research at @sideprojectbrew . Pound for pound, a great little excursion.
Great #openhousechicago weekend at the @ramovachicago with @chiarchitecture . Always love showing off the project and hearing so many personal stories about the theatre’s place in people’s lives. #openhousechicago2025
