Our Open Studios night at Craft of Architecture & Mobius Interiors was more than an event, it was a chance to open our doors and share the heart of our practice. Inviting people into our workspace reminds us why we do what we do: we design for people, for communities, and for the everyday moments that unfold within the spaces we create.
Throughout the evening, we heard from directors — John, Ian, and Michal — who each spoke about the value of participating in Open Studios and why being part of this collective celebration of craft matters.
We’re grateful for everyone who joined us, asked questions, explored our process, and helped bring our studio to life. Nights like this reaffirm the purpose behind our work and remind us that architecture is at its best when it’s shared, experienced, and grounded in human connection.

Last week at @openstudiosza , Mission for Inner City Cape Town opened its doors to give a behind the scenes look at how the Inner City is being re-energised 🌇
From placemaking projects and 3D models to interactive design challenges and future city possibilities, it was all about sharing the possibilities of collaboration, between individuals, organisations, companies and government to make our city more welcoming, walkable and wonderful.
With insights from the @cityofct ’s LSDF (Local Spatial Development Framework) and CBDMAP (Central Business District Mobility and Access Plan) departments, we got to learn more about current projects in development that are now open for public participation.

An evening of ideas, conversation, and community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and filled the studio with such thoughtful energy. The turnout and engagement reminded us why these gatherings matter - a space to reconnect and reflect on the work that continues to shape our shared practice.
It was incredible to see the energy and engagement with Dr. Luyanda Mpahlwa, who led the conversation “From Past to Possible – Tracing a Design Legacy: Architecture of Continuity.” His insights sparked a dialogue that continued long after the talk ended.
Open Studios is a platform for collaboration and exchange which we’ve proudly hosted since it’s inception ten years ago. OS 2025 allowed us to celebrate the SCAPE Industry Figure of the Year Award in style, and we’re already looking forward to what 2026 will bring.

We're always proud to open up our Architecture practice for Open Studios. And this year was particularly special.
While visitors got to experience our projects through interactive VR, 3D printing and various displays all around our office, we also came together as a team to bid farewell to co-founder Simmy Peerutin. It was an incredibly special celebration, led by David Peerutin – Simmy's brother, co-founder and Design Director – who presented Simmy with a beautiful book compiling highlights from his decades-long career in Architecture.
