Design Network is an architecture and urban design practice focused on contemporary design excellence, with an emphasis on elevating the social dimension of architecture and creating sustainable and inclusive urban environments.
The practice explores how African culture and traditions can be translated into contemporary architecture, moving beyond conventional stylistic interpretations. Through an interdisciplinary approach, Design Network collaborates with a network of designers and practitioners in the field, including development planning, urban design, sustainable architecture, and community project facilitation, but also across various creative industries.
As partners of the Print Fair event, Design Network is proud to support initiatives that bring creative design, culture, and public space into conversation.

An evening of ideas, conversation, and community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and filled the studio with such thoughtful energy. The turnout and engagement reminded us why these gatherings matter - a space to reconnect and reflect on the work that continues to shape our shared practice.
It was incredible to see the energy and engagement with Dr. Luyanda Mpahlwa, who led the conversation “From Past to Possible – Tracing a Design Legacy: Architecture of Continuity.” His insights sparked a dialogue that continued long after the talk ended.
