Make road safety your business! Road safety is shaped by more than rules and infrastructure. It’s through shared responsibility, awareness and how seriously we treat safety on our roads. The draft Road Safety Strategy reflects input from residents, stakeholders, research and data – and now the City is asking you to be part of the final step. This public participation process is your opportunity to read the draft and ask: Does this strategy reflect what road safety should look like for you and your community? 🗓️ Comment on the draft Road Safety Strategy before 8 June 2026 via Have Your Say, the Collaboration Platform or at libraries and Subcouncil offices. Share your feedback on the draft Road Safety Strategy via the link in the bio. #SaferRoadsCapeTown

💧 Dams are at 61,2%, about 1,7% more than last year. 🌧️ Rainfall remains unpredictable. Be water wise at all times. 🚰 Last week’s water use: 831 MLD, less than our 860MLD winter limit. Let’s be water wise to keep limited supply, every drop counts! #SaveWaterCT

Pump, pump, pump, pump it up! ⛽ Fuel saving tip: Under-inflated tyres can increase fuel consumption by up to 40% and even lead to accidents. Check your tyre pressure monthly and travel smart. #SmartTravel #UrbanMobilityCT

Cape Town spoke and the draft reflects it. In 2023, Cape Town residents and stakeholders shared valuable insights about road safety – and you get to be a part of the final say. Those voices – alongside technical studies, data analysis and wider stakeholder engagement – helped shape the draft Road Safety Strategy. This is the moment to read the draft, reflect on its direction and share your feedback before it is finalised. 🗓️ Public participation: 8 May – 8 June 2026 on Have Your Say, the Collaboration Platform or at libraries and Subcouncil offices. Share your feedback on the Draft Road Safety Strategy via the link in the bio. #SaferRoadsCapeTown
