A few weeks ago, I had the honor of working for the @aakomaproject , making their new Arlington office as welcoming and representative of their mission and vision as possible. Learning about this organization, as well as its founder @dralfiee , was inspiring and rejuvenating. As someone who left the education space, and specifically Baltimore City schools working with majority students of color, The AAKOMA Project’s mission of all young people (and especially BIPOC young people) thriving as the most authentic and powerful versions of themselves is so important and meaningful to me on a personal and professional level. Creating and painting this mural I saw and celebrated so many individuals I know personally, and spent a lot of time thinking about my own hypothetical, hopeful future child, who (if our bodies permit) will be biracial. Especially as we return to a downright frightening presidency, it’s critical that we know these organizations and people exist, and have existed, and will continue to exist. And more than that, it’s important we celebrate them, uplift them, and engage with them in all ways possible. Giving Tuesday is December 3 - I highly encourage you to support this organization, mutual aid, and any other orgs that prioritize the health and wellness of young people and especially BIPOC young people. Newest @okay_everything mural in Fells! Caro’s client wanted to disguise the window on the blank wall and wanted it to say Welcome to Baltimore so she designed everything around the window. The flowers in places people can stand make them the perfect photo spot, and they can track their girls height every year with the mural! They already had a cute backyard and now it’s the perfect hangout spot. She was really excited to paint the wall under the stairs because anytime someone goes in there to get something they’ll see a pop of color 💖 Thank you Caro for getting cool jobs and bringing me up on 3 stories of scaffolding with my camera and really making me be brave all the time 🫡 @ally_absolutely @tedvitale

Hi, hello, greetings, wow, thank you, welcome. I am Caro, Caroline, Okay Everything owner & sole full time employee. I’m an artist, a writer, a runner, & big on community and hyper-local everything. I have been in love with writing letters, both the alphabetical and mail kind, since I was very little. My mom told me when I was very small that my writing “looks like a typewriter” & I wore that like a badge of honor all the way through getting a BFA in graphic design. In 2017 I moved to Baltimore (from Michigan, by way of Arkansas and Colorado). I was lost in many senses - attempting to walk away from a six year career in education with no idea where or what I was headed to. A childhood friend told me to move to Baltimore, so I did. I started this Instagram to sell poetry books, crochet, & tiny canvases. I stayed in the education space peripherally (working in museum education departments, & an edu non-profit) until COVID came, during which my mental health had enough & I quit quite suddenly. Soon after quitting I got my first studio, of which I’m on the third iteration, 10x bigger and now with tenants (go follow @everythingstudiobaltimore to keep an eye on what we’re up to) & I now have two part time employees and clients that have stayed with me for years. My career as an artist is entering childhood and leaving toddlerhood - I’m somewhere around four years old (I should really choose an exact date, shouldn’t I?) & I’m feeling the growth and maturity settle in. I always do a lot of reflecting in the fourth quarter, & this year I’m thinking about growth being only possible through risk & pain. 2025 has been filled with so much of both - opening a huge studio, & working through a breakup two months before my wedding date. Completing my biggest solo mural, & flying to Albuquerque for two more. As we head into hustle holidays & face mountains of national pain and uncertainty, I want to say out loud that I’m here, I exist, & Everything Studio & Okay Everything are born of a desire to be seen and a desire to connect. Change is coming, both because it is inevitable and because I am building it. Let’s talk art & community. Let’s make something beautiful.

This is a love letter to @wicostreetbeerco : When construction started on the first floor of the building my studio is in… I was so curious. I watched them tear up the concrete floor, install a bar, and pieces of a sick mural (kudos @marshalladams !) and then, voila, a new brewery was born. If you know me, you know I’m all about local everything, and to share a building with such a kind, warm and convenient business quickly was a major, major joy for me as an individual and business owner. In their first year, @mrichardson035 asked me to start hosting paint and sips. We worked hard to market, and repeatedly sold them out. I made many friends with painters who came again and again. In winter 2024, Mike’s now wife @mandersrich introduced me to @artist.gabby.oakes during a holiday market in the taproom - I hired her essentially on the spot, and it was an incredible leveling up to have her on the team. I’ve had birthday parties, my breakup party, and countless happy hours in this brewery. Every time I walk by, I’m saying hey to whoever is working. Wico Street Beer Co, what a delight it has been to have you as a neighbor!! Im so glad to have had the chance to honor you and the other @sobo_brewery_district breweries with my newest mural. This mural is one day away from being finished, and there have been so many people, experiences, joys, and hours spent with this brick wall. It’s an honor to paint the building that has been my studio home for the last four years, for the second time (I painted the branded entrance a few years ago) and to do it in honor and partnership with the breweries that are part of my home, in so many senses. Thank you to @pickettbrewing @wicostreetbeerco @checkerspotbrewing and @m8beerco for creating and sustaining @sobo_brewery_district ! Thank you to @pbc.kate and @marshalladams for making me part of this project. On 2/22 Everything Studio had 70+ friends, collaborators, artists, gremlins, community members… all around incredible humans join us for our first Open Studio. 12 Artist! An artist talk! Donated Boh! So much seltzer! A table to draw on! Bracelets to make! Even with inclement weather, it was a friggen sight to behold. Since then, the studio has shifted, settled, changed, morphed, and I can’t wait to cook up the next open studio with a new mix of artists. Care to join?

🌺 Spring is springing! March is always a busy month for OKE, as holiday and winter windows get switched out for flowers and bugs! This season has been incredible with lots of exceptional support from @artist.gabby.oakes and @nancie_ping ! We were able to complete seven spring windows while working on a huge mural in Pigtown. New @okay_everything mural in progress sponsored by the Carroll Camden Business Association and @sobo_brewery_district 🍻 The new murals being painted in the district aim to encourage people to drink local and support the breweries in the neighborhood. The South Baltimore Brewery District is unique in the city because there are a handful of breweries within walking distance of each other making it a great brewery destination, especially with how close they are to the stadiums This mural will be finished in a few weeks and is located on the W Ostend Street side of the Wicomico building, and another mural by @lookysquares is going up soon!

On 2/22, Everything Studio hosted our first big event for the public: an Everything Open Studio! 70ish friends and family came to see the space, hear our talk, buy art (!!), make art, and be in community. It was an event filled with love that passed too fast - so you can definitely expect another one soon!
