This was our second time filming at The Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn and once again it was fantastic! It was perfect in every way... Elena and Kevin were so sweet and excited to get married, their family and friends were all so nice, the weather was perfect, the team was great and the venue was beautiful. The added bonus was having friends from Florida and Chicago meet us in NYC for a few extra days or fun. Plus we have family in the city who always encourage late nights that turn into early mornings. I mean it's New York, right? Thank you, Kevin and Elena, for including us in your awesome wedding!

WOW! We first met Kate when we filmed her sister’s wedding (Natalie & Matt) 8 years ago. She gave a great speech at that wedding that we still quote today. Oh and she was still in high school! Fast forward to present day…we have filmed four weddings for her family and extended family…those couples have kids…and now Kate has married her high school sweetheart. Time really does fly by but it has been such a pleasure witnessing and documenting it!
Kate and Jaxson said “I do” on the breathtaking slopes of Haleakalā, right on the very spot where Jaxson asked Kate to marry him. The entire four day celebration was nonstop fun, love and friendship. It was nice to see familiar faces and meet the children of past couples for the first time. A nicer group of people cannot be found!

Woohoo Victoria and Michael! We loved filming their beautiful wedding on the cliffs of Kapalua. Victoria and Michael could not have been nicer or more fun to work with. They get extra credit for allowing us to talk so much about the trip to London we had just arrived home from! As you can see the day was easy going and filled with joy and laughter. We were so thrilled to film Hailey and Evans beautiful La Jolla wedding, not only because they are awesome but because we were able to see some familiar faces from past weddings. It has been such a pleasure filming with this family for over 10 years now! It was also great to be back in La Jolla at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. This was a special one for us. Ten years ago we filmed Cathy and Marco’s beautiful Maui wedding at the Maria Lanakila church in Lahaina, and since then we have remained friends. When they asked us to film their 10th anniversary vow renewal we were of course very excited. In some ways it feels like no time has passed but it also feels like a million years ago. To be back in the same church but this time with their two wonderful boys was really special. Not to mention, we had many of the same people from ten years ago with us...Wendy Laurel doing photography and Marvin Tevaga providing music. Joining us this time to officiate the beach vow renewal was Euta Lightsy. Thank you, Cathy and Marco, for once again including all of us in your incredible milestone. How do we begin to explain how special this wedding was? We have known Ry-n for over 10 years and have had the pleasure of working with him on many shoots. When he told us he was getting married we were so happy for him! If you know Ry-n you know he’s just one of those people who everyone loves. Then when he asked us to dinner to meet meet Paul and to discuss filming their wedding we were thrilled. We had a lovely evening meeting this new Paul fella, talking about how they met and details of their wedding.
The wedding was held at the historic The Boddy House at the beautiful Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge, California. Paul and Ry-n began the ceremony by greeting every guest as they arrived, something we had never seen before, and it was an incredible way to begin the event. We really fell in love with this unique concept!
Performing the ceremony was their good friend Kathy Baldock. Kathy is an author, LGBT advocate, international speaker and educator. This brings us to the next super cool unique part of their wedding. Kathy is known for her presentations that chart the history of the church’s relationship to the LGBTQ community. For Ry-n and Paul she did a twist on this concept and presented a timeline of their relationship. Some wonderful educational moments might have snuck in too. A presentation during a wedding? Yeah it was super fun and everyone loved it!
It was a pleasure working with Deanna Nash Events @deannanashevents for the first time. She and her team brought Paul and Ry-n’s unique vision to life! And of course we had a blast working with Marie and Taena @marylanestudios documenting all the happiness. We are all bonded for life, having survived the huge rattle snake that arrived uninvited.
It was an honor to be a part of this beautiful wedding and we are SO excited for the Ry-n and Paul as they begin this new chapter of their lives together as husbands!
