OTR and Disqo join forces for an evening that will teleport you back to your family’s computer room At Blank Disc Club you’ll design, burn*, and take home a CD mixtape curated entirely by you! Participants are required to submit their playlist ahead of the event date, capped at 80 minutes total run time We’ll provide you with a CD, case, labels, and a variety of art supplies to design your own personal mixtape. SKIZA 001 w/ @shen.mp3 💫 Maher Shenouda, aka Shen is a DJ, music curator, creative producer, and baba of @offfffftherecord . After moving from Egypt, to UAE, to Montreal, and now Toronto, he took a leap of faith, turning music from a side passion into a full-fledged career. For our first session, Shen explores the sounds of the Arab world through records collected across his travels and a journey shaped by distance, identity, and rediscovery. You may know the names: Oum Kalthoum, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Omar Khorshid. On Friday, we go beyond who they are to explore what it meant to become them.
