From the streets to the world stage 🌍
This is @odelkamara , a World Bronze Medallist boxer who started combat sports at just 3 years old.
Odel began in kickboxing after his dad introduced him to the sport, where he went on to become a world champion kickboxer. After training alongside Alfie Lewis, he made the move into boxing and never looked back.
In this interview, Odel speaks honestly about growing up around street crime and violence, watching friends go down the wrong paths and feeling how hard it can be to escape it.
🗣️ “All for postcodes we don’t even own.”
His message is clear:
If you’re on that path, get yourself into a boxing gym, MMA gym, or any gym and channel that aggression somewhere positive.
Combat sports gave Odel discipline, motivation, drive and determination and most importantly, a sense of belonging.
