Intermediary is a publication and curatorial testing ground that seeks to develop a fertile space for dialogue between estranged creative disciplines.
The debut issue of Intermediary considers failed utopias and handicraft, publishing the work and writing of fourteen early-to-mid career crafts people, artists, designers, writers and hobbyists.
Hosted at Oddaný, the launch of this project will involve an exhibition of works by Intermediary’s contributors with the publication available for purchase.

Party Report III
2025
@sickleave__
‘There’s nothing more pious than a diary entry— confession is about submitting your sins to the self-shattering grace of the higher order, which is a way of partying with god— but diarising, and that’s what it was, the reading circuit circa 2018, is about self-possession, self-construction, self-cultivation, self-perfection- editorialising, if you like. What were we doing at these essentially disciplinary readings?’

‘Humour and playfulness are important invitational devices. When deployed correctly they not only allow for ease and comfort but for complexity. They are great companions to rigour. With this in mind, I approached the call out for submission for this issue that is focused around sound – in my opinion one of the most serious of the Western artistic fields – with humour’

Oddaný presents ‘Banquet’, a group exhibition by Madeleine Palmer, Holly Hunt and Georgia Harding, curated by Coco Stallman.
~•~
Through historical and contemporary modes, ‘Banquet’ investigates the inner workings of a banquet’s structural forms, rituals and traditions. As an environment of collaboration with a tendency for the performative, the banquet contemplates understandings of hierarchies through modes of excess and material accumulation. It is never static, with its most fundamental elements constantly shifting and evolving through time, creating instances which question our capacities of transcendence beyond the theatrical, the ornamental and the divine.
