Excited to announce the first volume of a new monthly music event
@keeperbrewing - Keeper Sessions.
Come through on a Sunday afternoon to experience wonderful talent, great vibes and fantastic beer.
We are stoked to have joining us too launch this new series two wonderful local acts:
@lalufeik
Meet Lalu, a band creating warm, exuberant, heartfelt music that makes you want to listen. More than just five close friends hailing from Naarm/Melbourne’s inner north, they encompass a community of collaborators and friends. Their vibrant fusion of sound, image and performance captures urban Australia as it is now - nervy, open, intense and beautiful.
Behind it all are the songs, each handcrafted and polished to a shine. They sound familiar, but not quite, the way a good pop song should. These are songs that could be played countless different ways and still hold their centre. But for now, listen to Lalu coming into their own.
After the release of their debut album in March, Lalu are stripping back their sound and playing a new set of intimate folky material. Expect the usual sparkling guitar interplay between Aleksei & Rlo plus a couple original songs from Devon!
@_daddydante
Raised in Warrnambool/Gunditjmara land and based in Naarm, singer songwriter Dante Z.C brings you into a cathartic release of sadness and honesty, incorporating intimate lyrics with diverse alt folk sounds that are inspired by the likes of Addrianne Lenker, Elliot Smith and Thom Yorke.
Bridging the gaps between rock, experimental and folk music, Dante Z.C sonically captivates intimacy and vulnerability through their dynamic guitar and vocals, and highlights the ambiguity and complexity of the human experience within their lyrics.
Sunday 17th of May. Free Entry. Cheap Beer and Cocktails. It’s going to be a blast. We’ll see you there
