Our NYLC Youth Advisory Council members are doing incredible things, and we’re celebrating TWO major national honors this week! 👏 Congratulations to Emiliana Korin on earning the prestigious Congressional Award Gold Medal, recognizing more than two years of extraordinary dedication to service, leadership, personal development, and physical fitness. Through her work with NYLC, community organizations in Georgia, and other advocacy efforts, Emiliana continues to model what youth leadership in action looks like. And congratulations to fellow YAC member Feven Tesfaye, who was named the National Honor Society’s $25,000 national scholarship winner out of more than 16,000 applicants nationwide! From representing 7,000+ students on her school board to advocating for young people across Minnesota and serving nationally through NYLC, Feven’s impact continues to inspire all of us. We are beyond proud to have Emiliana and Feven serving on our Youth Advisory Council. Their leadership, advocacy, and commitment to creating change remind us exactly why youth voice matters. 💙

Because young people aren’t waiting for the future. They’re building it now. 🎧 Find the episode on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you stream podcasts! Link in bio.

To the teachers who stay late, show up early, encourage boldly, and believe in young people every single day, thank you. Your impact goes far beyond the classroom. You help students discover confidence, purpose, connection, and the power they have to shape the world around them. 🍎 Today and every day, we celebrate the educators creating spaces where young people can learn, lead, and thrive.
