Volunteering works… and it works best when it’s designed to. Today, Points of Light is launching a new Theory of Change for purposeful volunteerism: a clear, evidence-based framework that shows how intentional volunteer engagement leads to more connected individuals, more resilient organizations, and stronger communities.   The takeaway is simple: Impact isn't by accident. It's by design. Volunteering becomes a scalable force for change, not just an act of goodwill.   It’s also a step toward Points of Light's larger goal of doubling volunteering by 2035 and strengthening civic life nationwide.   Explore the framework and join us in building what’s possible. #ReimaginingService2035 #NationalVolunteerStrategy

#DailyPointofLight Natalia Smith is embracing the outdoors through service and using her work to inspire others to do the same. As a volunteer with Natural Restorations for 7 years, Natalia is helping restore and revitalize outdoor areas. Initially, she saw picking up trash as something minimal, but now describes it as a drop of water that accumulates together and becomes something much larger. Reflecting on #GlobalVolunteerMonth, imagine what could shift if we all gave just a few minutes a day. Small actions. Every day. Real impact. 10 minutes becomes 5 hours a month. 5 hours becomes lives impacted, communities strengthened, and change you can actually see. What could 10 minutes a day do for your community?

#NationalVolunteerWeek isn’t just a moment. It’s how we build stronger communities. Last week, members of the Points of Light team got to work building more than a garden at the @womensresourcecentergr in Decatur, GA. They created space for connection. For growth. For something bigger. Let's keep the momentum going. Tag us in your day of action and show how you’re making a difference all month long for #GlobalVolunteerMonth.
