Nancy is a Brampton-based, mixed-media artist creating layered visual narratives of identity, memory, and becoming. Her work surrounds understanding identity in conversation with the body, nature, and the sacred. Her comic for our upcoming anthology, ‘A Shadow’s Beckon’, is based on the odd and unexplainable experiences Nancy had during her time at Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts. Join me on Valentine’s day for a polymer clay workshop!
Using clay, I will guide participants through building a representation of self-love in any shape and form. These feelings can take the form of a flower, a cat, or a little shrimp, I encourage you to come as you are and express your authentic self.
By infusing our individual and collective love into this work, participants are creating a living embodiment of love that I hope will amplify our self-worth, self-respect, and sense of community.
I will also provide some aftercare instructions for your pieces, including caring for their object in a way that feels personal to you.
There are only 10 spaces for this workshop are available at a first come, first-serve basis. Please sign up through the link in my bio! Participants will receive a confirmation email.
All materials are provided! As well as light refreshments.
