Bring your SHATA MATA energy and leave it all on the floor
Noise Diva Dutch-Syrian producer and DJ whose work is rooted in experimental sound design and a long-standing fascination with Arabic pop and electronic production techniques from its golden era. Her project Carwash explored these intersections. She has collaborated with Ableton, Sonic Acts, Le Guess Who? and Rewire, and released work on Banoffee Pies and Rare Frequency Transmissions.
Anira Orlando Copenhagen-based DJ of Moroccan origin and trans artist. Moving through house, afro and electronic sounds, her sets are sensual and powerful, shaped by the crowd and guided by feeling.
Nazanin Yalda Iranian musician and composer based in Brussels, also known as part of the duo Floèmee. In her solo work, she plays the setār, an Iranian string instrument, using sonic modifications that expand its acoustic range into ambient, immersive and deeply nostalgic territories.
ZOBAYDA Egyptian DJ and multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. Her sets are driven by rhythm, percussion, and a refusal of genre boundaries, drawing from the Global South and its diaspora. Her practice also spans photography, audiovisual work, archiving, and cultural programming.

Today is my birthday 😭
the last two years have been a crazy ride
they taught me many things most important are to hold accountability not anger
Hold love and welcome grief
hold tight and trust the ride
hold the people I love and my chosen family
hold my inner child tight every now and then
Hold on to who you are 🥹💕
I truly love u all thank you for loving music and art 🙈
it’s been an absolute pleasure performing @ibraazlondon accompanied by a beautiful crew who pushed the vision of this work.
the fall of the lion (سقوط الأسد )is a beyond “personal” art work, and it’s very touching having it vocalised/expressed by 5 women who I have enormous admiration for their work: @yara_ktaish as a narrator
@lynnadib as a vocalist
@franziskaaaigner as an instrumentalist
@ramilda.xx live performance
@sarah_el_miniawy and @imed_alibi for curating this work
also a big thank you to @krampfhaft who’s always there supporting the crazy sounds I make 🫶🏽
-db kicked off as a residency in Amsterdam, initiated by @le_guess_who in collaboration with @garagenoord , with celebrated multi-disciplinary artist Kelman Duran at the helm. Working for five straight days holed up in a DIY studio (“no frills, just pure creation”, in the words of the artists themselves), the project blossomed into a collaboration between @kelman.duran , producer and sound artist @noisediva , and shape-shifting artist and music curator @bamaoyende .
-db now announce their self-titled debut EP, originating from their collaborative residency in Amsterdam. The group’s playful yet precise interplay can be heard on every track of their EP. It’s characterized by bold sound design experiments, hard-hitting kicks and gritty, idiosyncratic synths—hallmarks of a new wave in European underground music.
Listen to the first track, Diva Bamao, on Le Guess Who?’s @bandcamp .
The group’s debut EP will be released on 19 May.

After returning from Syria, I rehearsed with Sarah at @tuneforkstudios in Lebanon. We later performed at @beirutartcenter .
That performance feels especially heavy now, as Lebanon’s war unfolds.
Back then, Sarah and I questioned the tangled histories of Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine, conflicts marked by both internal wounds and shared struggles.
Yet today, as apartheid unfolds on our own land, we see the deeper violence we must confront together, beyond borders, beyond divisions.
We think of our women, sisters, friends, our helpless brothers and fathers, and our wounded Levant, still bleeding.
