I’m Angela Gonzales-Torres. Unlike our current representative, I did not move to this district — the heart of Los Angeles — to become a politician. I was born and raised in Lincoln Heights/Highland Park, graduated from our public schools, and pursued higher education so I could bring that knowledge home to fight for working families like my own.
For nearly a decade, I have proudly stood with my neighbors in many fights for the respect and representation we deserve. In the absence of Jimmy Gomez. I was blocked by both his personal and official Congress pages for calling him out on being complicit in political corruption and genocide.
We fought to get his attention because our communities deserve better — and it’s safe to say I think we got it.
Now let’s get him out of office this November.
