DSA-LA chapter leader Rain helped establish Home Depot patrols to protect jornaleros in Los Angeles after ICE descended upon the city June of last year.
For nearly a year, DSA members, tenants rights organizations, community organizations and other neighbors have spent thousands of hours patrolling their local Home Depots, participating in school watch, and neighborhood business canvassing.
As usual, the media has stopped covering ICE kidnappings, and many people across the country believe it’s all stopped, but it hasn’t.
Here, Rain talks about resources for neighbors, an upcoming whistle kit build, what DSA-LA is doing and how to get plugged in.
