šØENDORSEMENT ALERTšØ
Today, Iām incredibly honored to earn Senator Bernie Sandersā endorsement.
Bernie has helped lead a multiracial working-class movement against oligarchy, corporate greed, and the billionaire capture of our democracy. He has fought for higher wages, housing as a human right, universal healthcare, labor power, campaign finance reform, and the fundamental idea that government should belong to everyday people. That is the same vision we have fought for here in Los Angeles, and because of that, corporate interests are flooding this race with dark money ā but this district is not for sale. Our coalition continues to grow and we will keep building a city rooted in solidarity, humanity, dignity, and collective power.
I still remember the excitement and hope I felt voting for Bernie when he ran in 2016, and then 2020. What a beautiful full circle moment this is.
Gracias, Tio Bernie. Si se puede. āš½
FINAL WEEKEND. FINAL PUSH. FINAL PARTY. šÆ
Join us in my lifelong neighborhood of Highland Park on Friday May 29th at @delaplayamusic for our FINAL fundraising concert featuring my fellow Franklin Panther and HLPās very own @reverielove , with an opening set from @subsuelocrew co-founder @elcanyonazo š„š„š„
This race has become the biggest dark money target in Los Angeles, all while corporate PACs, developers, and hotel industry interests are dumping thousands into mailers and attack ads trying to buy this election. Why? Because weāve spent the last three years fighting for workers, tenants, immigrants, and young people instead of protecting corporate interests and the status quo.
This is the moment where campaigns either expand their reach or get drowned out by outside money. Every contribution helps us print literature, knock doors, reach voters online, power our field operation, fight back against misinformation, and make sure our people actually turn out to vote.
So pull up. Weāll have voter guides and merch on deck as well as a food truck and bevvies for purchase courtesy of the homies at De La Playa! Bring your friends, family, primos, neighbors, sneaky links and colleagues! This is the home stretch!

LETāS BRING IT HOME, FAM š£ļøš£ļøš£ļø
District 1 raised me to be brave.
Brave enough to stand up to corporate interests and the prison industrial complex.
Brave enough to vote NO on a city budget that starves our neighborhoods of basic services while bloating the largest department in the city.
Brave enough to defend our communities in a moment when immigrants and journalists and working class people are under attack.
As authoritarianism rises across this country, the line between democracy and fascism is being drawn in our neighborhoods, in our budgets, and in the choices our leaders make and the questions they ask.
We qualified for the ballot. Now the real fight begins.
Because the future of this city doesnāt belong to corporate lobbyists or the apartment association or the political old guard.
It belongs to the people who are brave enough to fight for each other.
Letās do this, CD1. āš½

Still processing this morningās announcement. Feeling deeply humbled and incredibly grateful for Senator Bernie Sandersā support āš½
I wanted to share his statement endorsing our campaign because his words feel especially resonant right now, as corporate PACs continue pouring money into this race in an attempt to buy this seat.
Senator Sanders has spent decades showing what it looks like to stand unapologetically with working people and take on corporate greed and billionaire influence. He paved the way for so many of us to believe government should fight for the working class, not powerful interests.
At a moment when authoritarianism and oligarchy are on the rise, weāre going to keep fighting for working families, tenants, immigrants, and the communities that make this city run. Proud and honored to have earned this endorsement.
It starts at the local level.
Thatās where decisions get made.
How cities respond.
Who gets protected.
Who gets heard.
This is why voting matters.

In honor of todayās @berniesanders endorsement, hereās a little throwback to the Fight Oligarchy rally with Bernie and AOC. š„
At the rally, I spoke about the need for solidarity in the face of rising fascism as corporate interests buy elections.
Sound familiar?
Because weāre seeing it happen in our race right now.
But I said it then and Iāll say it now: they think working-class communities are too distracted, too exhausted, or too powerless to notice whatās happening around us.
Thatās bullshit.
We see through the dark money.
We see through the misinformation and fearmongering.
We see through the corporate PACs trying to buy our democracy.
And on June 2, we fight back.
NOT ME, US! š„
