Noah Carter is Simon's youngest son. He is an artist and filmmaker who specialises in making documentaries about the visual arts and has been recording Simon in his studio, on and off, for the last 15 years.
Simon and Noah met once a month over a period of 12 months to record what was going on with Simon's work. They met at 7am at Beaumont Quay, filming in the landscape from which Simon draws, and then later in the studio. They set up the cameras each day and left them running, observing Simon's working practice and the digressions of studio life.
The film features an original soundtrack by
@karl_bielik artist, director of Terrace Gallery and founder of the band Lark.
Running time: 108 mins.
