A new film for The World of Interiors (@theworldofinteriors ) about artist and jeweller Emily Frances Barrett (@emilyfrancesbarrett ). "Artist and jeweller Emily Frances Barrett gets her kicks (as well as much of her material) by trawling riverbanks for water-weathered gems… but unlike many mudlarkers, she’s more intrigued by rejectamenta: cigarette butts, old pipes, broken glass, bovine teeth." Director: @noahcarterstudio Interview: @ellycparsons Creative producer: @valmessersi

Another highlight from 2021: working with @jane.human on a short film about her work for an exhibition @galleryeastwoodbridge back in September. You can watch the full film via the videos tab on my profile, or on my website, and you can follow Jane to see more of her work.  I'll be posting a few more highlights before the end of the year.  #art #artists #filmmaker #instavideo #videographer #artiststudio #printingpress #lithography #sketchbook #landscape #drawing #eastanglia #eastanglianart #woodbridge #galleryeast #galleryeastwoodbridge #janehuman #exhibition #suffolk

Simon Carter is a painter of the Essex coastal landscape with a studio in Frinton. His work is held in collections in the UK, USA and China. He co-founded the artist collective Contemporary British Painting and the East Contemporary Art Collection. He is President of @colchester_art_society  and has been Artist-in-residence at the University of Essex and @firstsitecolchester Noah Carter is Simon's youngest son. I'm very pleased that this painting will be on show at the RWS Gallery from 10 April onwards. 3-5 Whitcomb St. London, WC2H 7HA. Open: Tues - Sat | 11 - 5pm 'In a city renowned for its major oil painting collections, this April the RWS Gallery will present something truly distinctive: a permanent yet evolving destination dedicated entirely to water-based painting. Showcasing paintings by current Member artists of the Society, this display will provide a rare opportunity to encounter contemporary water-based painting at the highest level, whilst also being able to acquire original works, with all paintings available for sale. The showcase will run and evolve indefinitely, with periodic pauses to refresh the display, ensuring that repeat visits offer a new experience.
