I came out to assist on Star Trek: Section 31 and had the chance to establish this makeup alongside co-HOD Nicola Bendrey @nixiepixie13 under the supervision of HOD Rocky Faulkner Daily applications were done by Lori Sasaki @ltsmakeup and myself.
We had two different beauty looks for her bar performances, and honestly, any opportunity to do glam beauty makeup on an alien is a good day for me. Never passing up a chance to add shimmer, sparkle, and glitter ✨

This past year has shaken and stretched me from my heart to my head and back again a thousand fold. During this descent into what felt like madness I’ve unearthed many demons. Thankfully I’ve made friends with this family of rascals living in my shadows. We’ve arm wrestled, gambled and bargained but ultimately made delights of the pain that’s echoed through me like a song desperate to be heard.
This reckoning has unveiled how deeply flawed I am yet illuminated my beauty despite it all. I’ve sat in a psychic, spiritual and emotional mud bath for many many months and it’s time to wash and shake it all off. My motley crew of monsters have revealed I’m ready to be healed by love and not solely triggered by it. It’s time to walk hand in hand with my adorable pack of rat bastards and skip off into the sunset 🌅.
This turning point could not have been achieved without the crumbs that were placed on my hungry path for enlightenment. The @acidforsquares podcast hosted by the incredible @tanyadahl and @codybluesnider made this breakthrough possible. Their work brought me to recently drinking plant medicine @celestial.heart.church in California guided by the incredible @kai.karrel and @jadejosborne . This retreat was created with the utmost love and attention layered with deep wisdom and ritual. They’ve cultivated a wonderfully safe space for self expression, connection and good ole fashioned fun.
My journey with Ayahuasca is ever evolving and she’s led me to so many beautiful people and traditions that have changed my life. All my demons and all my angels thank those that have guided and supported me on this healing path…you know who you are. Much love to @brandi.boulet for encouraging me to follow my weird heart any chance I can get. May the crumbs of consciousness continue to fall before me and all of you. And as Kai would say “Be like a dog and shake it off” ✨🐈🌿
WIP. This gal ain’t done yet. But since starting the new season of Starfleet Academy my personal practice has taken a back seat.
I had been in a deep cocoon of art making for a good period this summer. It was very healing and this painting came out of nowhere during a very challenging yet transformational time in July. She feels like an ancient friend or an aspect of my higher self residing in another dimension. I’m certain she came through to say hello and remind me of who and what I truly am. That I’m sovereign, safe and loved within my own architecture. That I am my own home.
Lately my focus has been on how much we outsource our worth through validation from friends, partners, friends, lovers, family, bosses and community in general. In truth, we only need validation from within. But building this foundation is super challenging. Because love from others comes with conditions and those conditions are subject to change at any given moment. So if you’re worth is cultivated by your own hands, you can weather those changes with much more resilience.
This painting is the starting point, the scratch on the surface of true self love. The future version of myself stepping into her power. So while I feel unfinished in this process, so is she. She’s my anchor for embodiment and once I’m integrated I’ll be able to complete this work. So, is choosing to love yourself scary? YES. Is it hard work? YES. Does it feel completely unnatural? HELL YES. But awareness and curiosity for why it’s so strange is key. As GI JOE likes to say “knowing is half the battle” 😉💪🏻 #painting #paint #art #portrait #artist
I kinda went crazy on this one. Magnifying glasses out, girl gone wild with the dots for days insanity. Thank god these paintings aren’t very large or I would be rocking back and forth in a corner somewhere. In terms of emotion, it really felt like I turned a corner here. Rather than form searching for light they’re living and basking in it. And what a relief that it is for making art is like looking into a mirror.
