Acid For Squares Podcast Guest Kai Karrel, Medium and Ayahuasquero, shares a powerful spiritual parable: a frog who believes the well is the whole world… until it glimpses the ocean.
This story reveals a deeper truth: we don’t know what we don’t know. Until we experience the infinite: perhaps through plant medicine, spiritual initiation, or altered states; our perception remains confined.
Have you ever had an experience that allowed you to glimpse beyond the proverbial well?
Acid For Squares Podcast Guest Kai Karrel, Medium and Ayahuasquero, breaks down the various realms encountered through astral projection, plant medicine, and shamanic journeying.
Each plane is home to its own unique beings, from shadowy entities to luminous guideS, reported by those who’ve crossed the threshold.
Have you ever experienced any of these realms or beings?

Acid For Squares Podcast Guest Kai Karrell is a medium, ayahuasquero, and founder of the first independent legal ayahuasca church in the United States.
He shares what he has learned from decades of study, as well as personal experience exploring the astral realm and the different beings and dimensions encountered there: realities that many have experienced through plant medicine, mediumship, and near-death experiences.
Have you ever had an astral experience of your own?
After over a decade of dedication to the study and practice of mediumship, I find that it is probably one of the most misunderstood spiritual practices of our time. Often cloaked in mystery or misrepresented in social media, it’s easy to reduce it to concepts of fortune-telling, ghost stories, or eerie séances lit by candlelight. To some, it evokes awe and curiosity; to others, skepticism or fear. Sadly, even amongst practicing mediums, it is often taken out of context and not given the proper serious study it requires and deserves.
Beneath the sensationalism of many of its external forms, lies a sacred, ancient art—the quiet, reverent work of bridging two worlds. The seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown, or more so, the unknowable.
Here are some of the most common misconceptions about mediumship and the sacred truth behind this spiritual practice. This is but a short excerpt from the full article you can find on our website. (Link-in-bio).

A consultation I had a few years back with a Preta Velha, changed the course of my life, and pushed me further to live in service of my mission and bring this work to my own church. She looked into my eyes with such faith and with her loving keen eyes, I could feel she is seeing my soul. My defenses melted away and in that moment my heart just witnessed what true service means. Guiding me to stand in my weakness and have nothing to hide, teaching me how to live in service and humility and remain centered within my faith.

Slowly One Goes Far / Kai Karrel
In the rush of dawn’s unfolding pace,
We chase the wind, we race and race.
But life is found in gentler hours—
A breath, a bloom, a field of flowers.
Slowly one goes far,
Like the moon follows the star.
No need to run, no need to try,
The soul grows wide beneath the sky.
Slowly… one goes far.
So stop a while, let silence pour,
Feel morning sunlight at the door.
Cradle warmth in porcelain grace,
Coffee steam, a sacred space.
Slowly one goes far,
Like the moon follows the star.
No need to run, no need to try,
The soul grows wide beneath the sky.
Slowly… one goes far.
The world can wait—just let it be.
There’s joy in stillness, wild and free.
The sacred hides in moments small…
And in the pause, we touch it all.
