This is one of those trips I’d like to have been on myself, although it’s just as well I didn’t as my back would have gone before I’d even got my ski boots tightened up properly. Instead @niwaki_will and our intrepid photographer @kuwatafilm bravely did the honours, in search of the mythical snow monsters of Japan. I’ll say no more here - you must head to @niwaki.hq and immerse yourselves in snow country to fully acquaint yourselves with the mysterious juhyoo. Continuing the best moments of 2025, our photoshoot for the @niwaki.hq catalogue was pretty extraordinary, with the 130 Defender, Land Cruiser and Kei truck out in full force. Fab models, great planting from Will at @formplants , flowers from Anna Gallagher and my holm oak sticking out the back.
One of the highlights of 2025 for me was having @aimee_farrell and @emlibendixen visit our garden in May for @fthtsi . Thank you for wonderful words and photos, it made us very proud.
