Yesterday, we opened the exhibition [insulation] by the one and only @nicoledekan ! Thank you to everyone who came to the opening! It was so exciting to meet so many new and friendly faces despite the rainy weather! 🤍🤍 We are absolutely in LOVE with Nikoleta’s installation! Both in terms of content ~~ since isolation is a theme many young people struggle with today, often unnoticed ~~ and visually! We love that she chose to experiment with new materials and ways of using our installation system, resulting in an exhibition that deepens the theme of isolation through styrofoam (commonly used to insulate buildings), which is then itself further isolated from written messages on plexiglass. Take this as your chance to step outside your own isolated bubble and visit her exhibition when you’re in the Old Town! You’ve got plenty of time until October 31st! 🖤 And yes, you might have noticed something unusual about these photos… no Capri-Sun this time! Instead, as per Nikoleta’s choice, we served White Monsters. 😳 Special thanks to @lenasebik for helping transport the materials! It all started on my birthday, when Lara Bee accepted the invitation. Since then, I’ve been playing with the idea of “JUST” inviting DJs who left a lasting impression on me through their sets instead of creating another brand or party with it’s own IG account and stuff. This feels much more fluid! So we continue with a DJ from Brno who caught my attention with her set last year. From that moment on, I knew the time would come when she’d accept the invitation and now it’s happening. Atmosphere support will be provided by the brand new project Workshift( @its_fom + @wrk.m8 ), along with myself. WHO IS XINCHAO?❓ Her sets are a journey of carefully woven emotion and built energy, often integrating introspective, listening-focused sounds. From guiding a full dancefloor to holding space in more meditative settings, xinchào’s subtle intensity and intention shine through, inviting listeners to both move and reflect. A night of house & breaks will be happening on April 30, 2026 in @nu_spirit_bar , with €5 entry all night long. Cant wait to see you dance! 🫂 ❗️Lovely visuals created by talented @nicoledekan ❗️

Yesterday, we hosted a [T]-iscussion, in collab with @staromestske_centra_kultury to celebrate the upcoming first anniversary of [TypospoT] and the release of our catalogue [T]-review. 🤍 Together with (part of) our members @monmoonika and @peter_poznik and our special guest @nicoledekan , we talked about our beginnings, shared some behind-the-scenes moments, looked back at the exhibitions from our first year, and discussed the uncertainties young graphic designers face in the early stages of their careers. We also gave a little sneak peek into our future activities, without spoiling too much. 👀The discussion was led by @lubicahusta from @staromestske_centra_kultury , who has supported and guided us since the early stages of our exhibition platform. At the end, we baptised the first issue of our catalogue [T]-review, which features interviews with our exhibiting artists, with the help and blessing of Palo Bálik, head of @typolab_afad @vsvu_afad , who helped shape the beginnings of our graphic design journeys. Public is the second part of the publication. It features excerpts from conversations with young female designers and currently presents 5 out of 15 interviews. These intimate reflections bring personal experiences of loneliness into a shared and visible space.

Loneliness is the first part of the publication. It works as a process book collecting my thoughts research literature and visual observations connected to the topic. It documents the ongoing exploration and shaping of the project.

Public Loneliness [Diploma work in progress] My diploma project in progress respond to the epidemic of loneliness affecting our generation. Through research and conversations with young female designers I explore how loneliness exists both in our inner world and in public space. The project will result in a publication and later a public 3D material installation that invites people to experience and reflect on this emotion. This post presents the current development phase.

It’s time to share some behind-the-scenes moments from installing our current exhibition by @nicoledekan and taking down the previous one by @ejdrien.a (🥲). Since it was our first time using our installation system for something other than posters, it was… definitely a challenge. But! We had so much fun doing it! We hope you appreciate all the intricate details and the care that Nikoleta put into her installation just as much as we do! And if you haven’t had the chance to see it in person yet, you can still catch it until October 31st. Yay!! [insulation]: Nikoleta Dekanová opening vernissage: September 25th, 17:00 exhibition duration: September 25th – October 31st It’s time to announce this year’s last exhibition! Yes, we have really come to this bittersweet moment. ☹️ As the weather will get colder, no one will want to stand outside freezing! Don’t worry though, because this exhibition by @nicoledekan will definitely keep you warm (even though it will probably not be cold yet). You see, as the name [insulation] suggests, the exhibition plays with the idea of… well… insulation. It explores feelings of isolation and loneliness experienced by young people today. These often come from the pressure to perform, from school, work, or social media. Insulation becomes a metaphor for the protective layer we build between ourselves and the outside world. And like any proper insulation, this one will also be on a façade. Literally! 👀 Nikoleta Dekanová is a graphic designer and a master’s student at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, studying in the Department of Visual Communication, Typolab studio. Her work focuses on typography, which she combines with various design disciplines. She is also involved in type design and sign painting, and organizes workshops on these topics.
