Elmer is finally here guys . Me and @myfavoritecolor have been working on music since around 2018-19? We have made so many songs and become great friends over the course of that time, these are just 11 of those songs that we felt fit together well. Maybe we’ll share more later, but here is an offering for now. I know yall love the funny videos from Willis and there is plenty of humor in this album but i hope you also can hear how good my dude is at his craft. He could quit rapping tomorrow and be an actor or comedian or really whatever he wants to be so I appreciate him wanting to do some songs with me for now. . Can’t thank @gvrretthvnter and @idlabsmusic enough for their mixing, mastering, editing, recording, arranging. Yall really were so crucial to getting this sounding good and making solid choices when it came to post production. Genuinely trusted yall to do your thing and it was better as a result without question. (Also @jaycardhoe recorded the vocals for the last track, s/o to you bro) . Thanks to @artifact_magic for the incredible cover art. I have had you do quite a few covers at this point and you literally have never disappointed me. Your art is amazing and i am grateful that you take the time to occasionally help me with a music project. I included a few of his process sketches, even those are great to me. . Thanks to @itsellamusic and @lifeofthom for lending their voices, super appreciate it, yall sound great. Thanks to @kountkoal for the drums on “Bro!” and “Move” 🙏🏼 . It is also Halloween (my favorite holiday) so I included a few pics from my neighborhood, they did their thing this year with the decorations. . That’s alot of words, I’ll stfu now. 10 Years, we miss Mac and we celebrate him. . One of the very few times I have been asked to do scratches on someone’s songs. The big homie @idlabsmusic (thanks E!) asked me to do some cuts for “Rush Hour” and “Club House” and they ended up using them for the album. . I was a DJ well before I started making beats so this is a small but meaningful credit in the catalog for me. Definitely proud to have helped with this album for Mac and it’s extra cool that it’s a nod to what first got me into music. . Sidenote: Remember being in the studio when Mac and @bigjerm412 were making “Ascension”. Was so cool to see them build that from scratch more or less.

Tis the Smison . New Smino album “Maybe in Nirvana” out today. Production/writing on “Dear Fren” with the guys @groovesince1989 and @phoelix . Honored to be a part of the album . Shoutout to Groove who is on production for most of the album, beautiful work. Was also super impressed with what Phoelix did on “Dear Fren” after the initial version, really took to it to another level and expanded greatly on the initial rhodes/chord progression idea. . Also wanted to share a crucial update that my Christmas cactus started blooming 🌺

In the Pittsburgh City Paper looking like i have never posed for a photo in my life. . Really appreciate the write up and kind words from Jordan Snowden and shoutout to @marsjohnsonphoto for the photos, he really did try to get me looking good, was a total pro. Thanks to @pghcitypaper in general too. . I think the last time i had a longer form write up was in 2011-12 with my guys @grand.ear412 and @buscrates as part of our group ELQ. Cool to be back in an issue many years later. . It’s up on their site now and in physical copies around the city.

Here In The Pitch by the one and only @jpblues has arrived. . Very psyched for Jessica. This has been a long time coming and she put an incredible amount of thought and work into making it just how she wanted it to be. It is a truly beautiful album. Learned alot from working with her on this and it was an honor to be a part of. I truly appreciate it. . Gotta give some love to my dawg Matt McDermott who thought to get me involved with this in the first place. He also played on most or all of these songs and it felt really good to work on music with him again. Also was really impressed by all the work @carlsonhq did for this album. . Stuff I specifically helped out with: Produced “Glances” with Jessica and Matt Additional Acoustic Guitar on “Life Is” Vibes/Mellotron on “Better Hate” Additional Percussion on “Get Your Head Out” Organ on “By Hook or by Crook” . Most of the slides are random moments from when we were working on the album. Fun fact: The beach clip was used in the beginning/background of “Glances”.
