In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, members of the Newcomb & Boyd team spent the morning giving back at Cascade Springs Nature Preserve in partnership with @cascadespringsconservancy .
It was a meaningful way to serve our community, connect as a team, and help preserve one of Atlanta’s historic natural spaces. Grateful to everyone who participated and helped honor Dr. King’s legacy through service.

The modernization of Cedar Street Building C at @universityofga Science and Ag Hill won an Excellence in Sustainable Rehabilitation award from the @thegeorgiatrust . This project exemplifies how thoughtful engineering can bring new life to historic structures. From energy-efficient HVAC and chilled beam systems to innovative water use reduction and advanced lab infrastructure, our team delivered solutions that balance high-performance research needs with long-term sustainability, while respecting the historic architecture.

Brendan Gardes will present at the IGSHPA/GAOI Conference, discussing the complexities of designing a near-net-zero energy manufacturing campus—without knowing the day-one or year-two program! Achieving this ambitious goal required solving major challenges, and #geothermal played a critical role in meeting energy efficiency and #electrification targets.
His case study, "Designing a Geothermal System with Extreme Flexibility and Resilience," highlights the power of innovative engineering and adaptable design in the face of uncertainty.
