It's a red-letter day! Finally, finally, FINALLY, after four years of very hard work, satisfaction, alarm, astonishment, anguish, frustration, patience, diligence, hope, and finally, elation, COYOTE VS. ACME has an official trailer celebrating its upcoming release on August 28, 2026 in theaters nationwide!
You hopefully know the basics by now: the film - a wonderful and fully 100% finished live-action/animation hybrid comedy about Looney Tunes' classic Wile E. Coyote character challenging the ACME Corporation in court after continually striking out in his efforts to catch the Road Runner due to their faulty products - was unceremoniously shelved by Warner Brothers for tax purposes. The ensuing outrage from fans and the film industry settled into several years of sustained pressure on social media and in other arenas, and finally, in 2025, Ketchup Entertainment stepped in to distribute the film, and now, here's your first chance to get a glimpse of what Warn--I mean the ACME Corporation didn't want you to see.
I was the First Assistant Editor (and did some additional editing) on the film during its Albuequerque live-action shoot back in 2022, working with my friend, master editor @kurpanek , as well as fellow First Assist @sereschris (who saw the film through its completion in London for like ten months after live-action production ended), our able-bodied post PA @sirbroshi , director @davegreeen , and hundreds of other cast and crew to bring you the best and most delightful cartoon live action comedy action legal thriller starring @orviv , @johncena , @lanacondor , and @bauzilla we possibly could. It's a story of ordinary folks standing up to a major corporation...in more ways than one.
August 28! Get thee to your local cine-house! Wheeee!!!
WE HAVE A TEASER! AND A POSTER!
Congratulations to all my @coyoteacmemovie compatriots on the release of the first teaser and a brand new poster image! I was the First Assistant Editor during production, and I'm totally fired up to see #CoyoteVsACME at last on August 28, 2026, and I hope all of you are, too. I and hundreds of others poured our hearts and sweat into this thing and for a long time it seemed like the universe (and David Zaslav) wasn't going to let it be enjoyed by the world. But we never gave up. Funny how things work out sometimes, huh? Cheers to @ketchupentertainment , and hats off to @davegreeen , @kurpanek , @orviv , @johncena , @lanacondor , @pj_byrne , @bauzilla , and the entire team! Wheeee!!!
These photos were taken moments apart, which tells you something about the depths of our souls. Also, that I probably need a haircut.

I didn’t get to give birth to my baby, but I knew I had to do something in his memory, so I gave birth to Still.
Making this film was such a special experience, not just because of the subject matter but also because I was surrounded by incredibly talented people. Thank you and a huge congratulations to our cast and crew. I couldn’t have done this without each and every one of you. It truly took a village. Thank you to Sophie and everyone at ALTER for believing in this film and helping me reach more people who might relate to this nightmarish tale of loss.
STILL screened at 31 festivals in 3 countries! Having it’s online premiere on ALTER is the icing on the cake! (full list of festivals and awards/nominations in the comments!)
I hope you enjoy the watch and maybe even get something out of it. I made this for the baby I never got to meet, Max Jacob, and for all the women and men who have suffered this type of tremendous loss. I truly hope it facilitates conversation and healing and the elimination of all taboo around this very tragic life experience. The film may not be a traditional horror, but anyone that has gone through it, knows that it’s horror nonetheless.
Because of our generous backers, we were able to donate over $2500 of our budget to worthy charities that help women who have lost a child or a pregnancy! THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!

I cut this trailer for BIG ROCK BURNING, a new short documentary from director @davidgoldblum and executive producers @markhamill , @rickilake , and @bryanfogel , about the devastating losses faced by the Malibu community of Big Rock as a result of the 2025 Palisades Fire, as well as the unfortunate ways in which both local and regional governments failed to adequately respond to the disaster.
David is not only a passionate and thoughtful filmmaker; he's also a member of the Big Rock community and a victim of the fire himself, and I'm proud to have helped build awareness of both the documentary and the need for legislative reform, so that, hopefully, the next crises will unfold very differently.
You can find the film on demand at /ondemand/bigrockburning , and more info at /2025/film/news/big-rock-burning-documentary-trailer-streaming-date-1236553792/.
Just now, yesterday, seven years ago. I’ve been married to @hipflor since August 12, 2018. And it’s been pretty much fantastic. There was that time she left her passport at home so I had to drive to LAX to bring it to her before her flight to London took off, and there was probably another time when, I dunno, she forgot to water the plants or something, thereby committing a form of attempted murder. Who knows. When you have seven years (really thirteen!) together with the best person in the world*, you tend to forget about all those little things that don’t matter. What matters is that I love her, she loves me**, and we’ve had an absolutely smashing time galumphing through the world together. I look forward to many more multiples of seven years ahead :)
* pending decision from ratings board
** pending decision from the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Case No. 8836-5D
New short film first draft in the bag, baby. Bring on the rewrites.
This is something I’ve had kicking around in my head for years, really just as a few images. I wanted to write something I could just go out into the boondocks and shoot without too much hassle, and a post-apocalyptic drama seemed to fit the bill. Is it weird that the last movie I actually made was a pre-apocalyptic drama? (NOT IF, BUT WHEN, currently available to rent on Amazon!) Have I got something on my mind? Anyway, hopefully this one will have some legs. I’ve got plenty of other ideas that don’t involve the end of the world, I swear!

Almost exactly three years ago, I started working at the building behind me, on the outskirts of Albuquerque, on a movie called COYOTE VS. ACME. A year after that, it was cruelly shelved by Warner Brothers in favor of taking a $30 million tax write-off. Since then, I, my friend Carsten, who edited the film, Dave Green, the director, and so many other wonderful actors, writers, and crew members have waited in the fleeting hope that somehow, the film would be rescued from the vault and that audiences could finally see this wonderful, entertaining romp with Wile E. Coyote, Roadrunner, Foghorn Leghorn, Granny, Tweety, Will Forte, Eric Bauzilla, John Cena, Lana Condor, PJ Byrne, and Luis Guzmán (and Steven Ray Byrd!). I hope they'll love and appreciate what so many cast and crew members worked so hard on. Many of us kept up what pressure we could on social media, helped by fans around the world. It was always heartening to see.

That far-off day seems to have finally arrived. This morning, news broke that Ketchup Entertainment has finalized its purchase of the distribution rights to the film for $50 million, and it’s slated for theatrical release in 2026. And in a lovely coincidence, I happen to be back in Albuquerque today, where it all began. Thanks to everyone who kept up the fight to let art live (and make some money!), and thank you indeed to Ketchup Entertainment. I hope you make a billion dollars and Warner Brothers feel like a bunch of dummies.
And I hope that all of YOU go see COYOTE VS. ACME in the theater! Take your friends!
THAT WASN’T ALL, FOLKS!!
