Today is the 20th anniversary of Be. I don’t know if my words can embody what this album means to me. It came at a time in my life where my career was not in a good place. I didn’t know if I was going to make it to another album or what the future held. It was the music of YE and J Dilla and my Chicago instinct of - whenever you are lost, or in doubt, or broken...GO HOME. Literally, figuratively and spiritually. Be reminded me that it was ok to be who I am at the present time and not dwell on the past or worry about the future. I am forever grateful to YE and J Dilla and the musicians and engineers and artists who helped create this music that changed my life. Happy Anniversary Be!
In celebration of this album, we have pressed a 2LP translucent yellow marble blend. This limited-edition vinyl includes the original track list on LP 1 and the albums instrumentals on LP 2. The first 750 copies will include a signed print from me of the album cover.
