Working in the Camera team on #Adolescence for @netflixuk was an incredible and highly unique learning experience for me - one I will never forget. Not only did we film each episode completely out of the norm in one whole take, but it gave me the opportunity to get involved in several pre-shoot technical test days, think on my feet to solve connectivity issues over much larger ranges than usual, come up with logistical solutions to rig, de-rig, move and re-rig kit during live takes without being seen on camera and also have the rare chance to sit in on the colour grading process @harborpictureco @stephengraham1973 wasn’t lying when he said “There was a feeling of a gang on this show” - we genuinely all came together as one big family of cast and crew members, working seamlessly in choreographed unison to create something truly special. So we filmed this pretty epic 4-part TV series called Adolescence for @netflixuk last Summer, in just 4 single, but very complex shots 😅 🎥 I can’t even begin to tell you how incredibly proud and super lucky I feel to have worked as part of the Camera team, with the most ridiculously talented bunch of wonderful humans: DOP & Camera Operator - Matt Lewis @mattlewisfilm Camera Op - Lee David Brown @_steadilee_ 1st AC / Focus Puller - Sean Beasley @all_terrain_sean 2nd AC / Clapper Loader - Adam Farquharson @afarq87 Camera Trainee - 🙋🏾‍♀️ Camera Trainee - Divine Zaki @divine.z_k DIT - Dan Wilkinson-Cain @dan_cain_ This was by far the most exciting and technically challenging project I have ever worked on and I have so much love for everyone who put their heart and soul into the show, I think we’ve made some magic together 😍 I’ll also be forever grateful to @barantini for letting me tag along on his epic journey as a ground breaking Director 🤩 Ps.
