Join us in beautiful Maggie Valley, North Carolina May 22nd & 23rd for the 4th Annual @maggievalleyflyfishingfestival . Gates open at noon on Friday May 22nd -6pm and then again all day Saturday from 9am-5pm. This festival is 100% pet friendly and all veterans and first responders are free all weekend. Kids 12 & under are free all weekend. Please bring lawn chairs for the showing of Hidden Rivers @freshwatersillustrated on Friday at 5pm and for enjoying the lawn area where the music will be jamming up on stage all weekend long. May is absolutely one of the very best months for fly fishing our area, so pack your fly gear, fly rods and if you are a fly tyer , you are gonna be very happy this year! Fly tyers row organized by Bill @flytyingsanta is stellar and right at the festival entrance this year. The casting pond being built by Jerry Yates @frogs_fanny_on_flies will be the largest pond we have ever constructed and in the center of the festival- we have the kids casting contest, amateur and pro/guide contest with prizes for the winners. Lawson Braun @river_jedi will be teaching the women’s and men’s euro nymphing clinics this year and those are almost completely booked out, we have a few spots left. Beau Beasley @beasley_beau will be speaking beside the MVFS Booth. The food vendors are always a hit as the festival , from the best local BBQ with Appalachian Smoke Barbecue and North Meats South, J&K Lemonade , Ruthie’s Kettle Corn and some@amazing ice cream! We are stacked for vendors again this year , local & regional artist, net makers , rod builders, jewelry and everything fly fishing & to do with the outdoors. Lastly, women in fly fishing will have a key focus this year with our gals from @girlswhoflyfish attending and having a booth and presence at this year’s festival!
