A brilliant weekend in Pembrokeshire with sisters Abi & Tasha, building confidence and developing their trad climbing skills on the sea cliffs.
Over the two days we covered everything that goes into planning a safe sea cliff adventure - checking the British Mountaineering Council RAD for restrictions and bird bans, tide times, local MOD firing access, guidebooks, and making the most of the Rockfax app. There were plenty of discussions, plenty of learning, and of course… climbing.
We practised multiple abseils (sea cliffs always keep you humble 😅), looked at solid gear placements, and by day two Abi & Tasha were building anchors and setting up their own abseils.
Pembrokeshire limestone never disappoints - sharp rock, brilliant protection, and incredible views around every corner. We were also spoiled with amazing weather and we paid a visit to @stoked_pembs for some seriously good food.
A proper weekend of learning, laughter, and sea cliff adventures...

Introduction to Multipitch Climbing

A relaxed, hands-on two-day course designed to help you step into multipitch climbing with confidence. We’ll focus on building solid base knowledge.
We’ll cover:
• Building and assessing anchors
• Belaying from the stance and bringing up a second
• Rope management and smooth changeovers
• Guidebook use and an access
• Communication and efficient stance organisation
• Abseiling
There will be plenty of time on the rock, with coaching tailored to your pace and experience.
Ideal for climbers who are comfortable belaying and have some outdoor experience, and are ready to progress onto longer routes.

Have you ever wanted to try sea cliff climbing?
Now's your chance.
We're running two intro weekends this May in Pembrokeshire, and they're open to everyone - indoor climbers, outdoor climbers, complete beginners to the sea cliff environment. If you're curious, that's enough.
Over the two days we'll cover everything from abseiling to the crag, understanding tides, coastal safety, and access - all fully guided, by a fully qualified and insured Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, so you're never left figuring it out on your own.
Harness and helmet can be provided if you need them.
Bring a friend, come alone - either way, let's have some fun out there. Spaces are limited.
