We’ve received some lovely photos from this week’s Walk the Path for Wellbeing event
The group enjoyed a beautiful sunny walk from Llangrannog to Penbryn, with some even going for a dip afterwards! 🥶
A big thank you to everyone who joined, including Gareth from RNIB, the See Cymru Differently team, Sioned from the Outdoor Partnership, Angela from Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and a student from University of Wales Trinity Saint David as well as the team over at the National Trust Cymru in Stackpole.
Gareth Davies from RNIB Cymru said:
“The See Cymru Differently team and RNIB Cymru were delighted to take part once again in this year’s Walk for Wellbeing. It’s so important to show that the National Park is accessible to everyone, including people living with sight loss, and this walk is a fantastic way of demonstrating that. The walk and run along the Coast Path in Llangrannog was also a great example of the brilliant and impactful relationship we’ve developed with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and local organisations such as the Outdoor Partnership, who walked and ran alongside us.”

🌼 Spring is here and the coastal slopes are covered in colour! 🌼💐
Many farms within the Park work with the conservation team to manage their land in a nature-friendly way.
Conservation officers Clare and Sam were out visiting one such farm and found the coastal grasslands full of flowers.
This land is grazed by sheep in the winter to keep the grass short and prevent the scrub from taking over, helping keep space for these beautiful wildflowers.
Many nature-rich areas of the Park are kept in good condition by farmers implementing nature-friendly farming like this, which some farmers have been doing for generations! 🐑🌿

As part of our Walking for Wellbeing weekend, members of staff were able to take part in the challenge of walking 313 miles across three counties, following some of our stunning coastal paths along the way. 🥾🌊
On Sunday afternoon, our Chief Executive, Tegryn Jones, joined the challenge by walking from Abermawr to Aberbach along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Other members of staff were also out and about over the weekend, enjoying the walks and capturing photos along the way. 📸🌿
It was a great way to support the challenge, enjoy time outdoors and celebrate the incredible coastline we’re so lucky to have on our doorstep. 💚

🦕 Dinosaur adventures at First 1000 Days Parent and Toddler Group!
The children explored a little dinosaur world filled with natural resources scavenged from the site.
The dinos had been stomping through paint, leaving tiny footprints behind, squishing through playdough and hiding fossils in the sand ready for little hands to discover.
A lovely day was had by all! 😊

Today we’re wishing a very Happy 100th Birthday to Sir David Attenborough 🎉🌍
For decades, Sir David has inspired generations to appreciate, protect and fight for the natural world. His voice, storytelling and passion for conservation have helped people across the world see the beauty and fragility of our planet in a completely different way.
A few years ago, Sir David shared these words about the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park:
“The rugged Pembrokeshire Coast is a place of extraordinary complexity and wonder. Unforgettably beautiful and teeming with wildlife spectacles, it is every bit as fragile as it is beautiful. Despite the protection offered by National Park status, it’s vital to remember that the natural world is the most precious thing we have and we are a part of it. When we work together and make positive changes in our own lives, there is no limit as to what we might accomplish.”
As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we’d like to thank Sir David for a lifetime dedicated to nature conservation, environmental awareness and inspiring positive change. 🌎
Happy Birthday Sir David, from all of us at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. 💚

🌸 A lovely early result of woodland management at Carew Castle 🌸
Following the fantastic work by our volunteers clearing invasive snowberry from the woodland, we’re already seeing the benefits. Early purple orchids are beginning to emerge, a real sign of a healthier woodland floor.
By opening up space and light through careful management, native species are starting to return. It’s a wonderful reminder of how positive, hands on conservation can be.
A huge thank you to our volunteers, your hard work is already making a visible difference. 💚
