This month, creativity shines as we celebrate Arts in Our Schools Month!
Access to arts education allows students to think outside of the box, express themselves, and discover their unique voices while building confidence, collaboration skills, and a lifelong love of learning. Let’s continue to champion the arts and ensure every student has the opportunity to create, imagine, and thrive! 🎨✨

🎨✨ As we continue celebrating Arts In Our Schools Month, we’re spotlighting creative professional learning across Maryland! ✨
@kcpsk12 elementary art teachers recently engaged in a hands-on professional development workshop with Marianne Sade, diving into the art of collage.
Through exploration of layering, composition, texture, and storytelling, teachers expanded their instructional strategies while reconnecting with the creative process themselves.
Here’s to investing in our educators so they can continue inspiring young artists across Kent County Public Schools! 🎨👏

🎼 ✨ARTS EDUCATOR SPOTLIGHT: @mcps_md Teacher of the Year, Megan Campbell, shares the skills she’s seen students develop thanks to arts education!
“The Instrumental Music room provides endless opportunities for creativity, vulnerability, rigor, and growth. Band and Orchestra continue to showcase talent and hard work in an ultra-collaborative setting. Every year, without fail, student musicians develop a sense of confidence and pride that may not have previously existed were it not for arts education. Whenever you can, however you can… support the arts.”
