Education (CTE) Student Recognition Ceremony on May 13. During the ceremony, 158 seniors – one
student from each high school CTE program – were recognized as exemplary students!

⚙ Ross plans to finish the final year in his 5-year plan at CCBC (under the P-TECH program) to earn his associate's degree in applied science. He hopes to work in 3D printing.
💬 Lisa Drylie, school counseling chairwoman, and Tom Blumenauer, career navigator, “Ross has shown a great deal of persistence and growth throughout his time at Owings Mills High School. He took advantage of the opportunities in front of him, particularly through the P-TECH program. In addition to helping him find success academically and a career interest, P-TECH also helped him build friendships and connections that became an important part of his high school experience. In the Advanced Industrial Design and Technology Associate Degree program at the Community College of Baltimore County, Ross has earned 48 college credits while also successfully completing his high school graduation requirements.
“After completing his associate degree, Ross hopes to transfer to a four-year college to continue studying manufacturing or to pursue engineering. He is very appreciative of the teachers who supported him along the way, especially Ms. Woolfolk, Ms. Carlos, Ms. Katrib, Ms. Rowlette, Ms. Lubold, Mr. McNally, Mr. Calise, Ms. Filosa, Ms. Sigmon, and Mr. Blumenauer. Ross has built strong relationships with many adults in the building and is the kind of student who will stop by classrooms or offices just to wave hello and wish someone a good day.
“Working with Ross over the years has truly been one of the best parts of my job. He is the kind of student who is consistently kind, humble, thoughtful, and respectful to everyone around him. He is also incredibly supportive of his younger brother, Nick. Ross is simply an all-around great human, and I know he will continue to do great things after high school.”

⚖ Jaylin plans to study political science on a pre-law track and hopes to build a career in public service focused on government and policy.
💬 AVID teacher Monica Jett, “As I look back on these past four years, I am struck by how much Jaylin Hall has grown since he first walked into my classroom. I have had the privilege of watching him evolve from a nervous underclassman at Lansdowne High School into a confident and capable leader.
“He should be incredibly proud of everything that he has achieved. Beyond the grades and college acceptance letters, his critical thinking and public speaking skills have improved greatly. He has exhibited this as a leader in the AVID [Advancement Via Individual Determination] Program as an AVID tutor and attending the Student Page Program in Annapolis.
“Whether Jaylin was navigating difficult projects or balancing a heavy schedule, he did it with a character that inspired his peers, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
“Now, as that he is getting ready to attend college in the fall, I know he will remember the qualities that brought him so far already—his curiosity, grit, and kindness—are the same ones that will carry him through this next adventure. College will bring new challenges, but he already proven at Lansdowne High that he can handle whatever is brought his way.”

🌟 Terri will attend Livingstone College on a full-ride scholarship, where she plans to study accounting.
💬 Iman Cue, class advisor, “Over her four years at New Town, Terri has been part of the magnet program, taking both International Baccalaureate and honors courses, as well as being in AVID [Advancement Via Individual Determination]. Terri has maintained a 3.0+ GPA throughout her four years all while being on the cheerleading squad (for which she has served as captain during her senior year), working a part-time job and holding a position as class officer for the Class of 2026. Terri was elected by her peers as class vice president during her junior year, but she has since stepped into the role as class president when the elected president could no longer fulfill their duties. Terri has shown excellent leadership and has proven to be someone her peers and teachers can count on. Terri is very responsible, with her plate full with school, work, cheerleading, and leading the senior class, Terri manages to give her all in each of these areas and still make time to be an 18-year-old girl. Terri received a full ride to Livingstone College for cheerleading. She plans to major in accounting and wants to become a financial analyst. She has a great head on her shoulders and a bright future ahead!”

🌍 Maeve plans to double major in political science and romance languages. She has been accepted into the University of Maryland Honors Program and to the University of Delaware as a Du Pont scholar.
💬 MaryEllen Sittner, assistant principal, on behalf of Ben Peak, world languages department chair, “Maeve Cirillo-Brinkley is one of the rare students that shows wisdom well beyond her years. An exceptional language student, she has successfully earned the Seal of Biliteracy in both Spanish and French. Alongside her linguistic capacities, Maeve holds a rigorous academic schedule alongside her internship work with Congressman Johnny Olszewski. Due to her excellent work, she was chosen as one of the Maryland General Assembly Pages for the 2026 legislative season. Maeve is an active member of several clubs and honor societies at Dulaney, including the Spanish National Honor Society and Dulaney Key Club amongst others. She has volunteered her time to assist English Language Learners in various classes, providing valuable support to teachers and students alike.”
