My first op-ed, published with @timeafrica A meaningful moment and one that reflects not just where I am, but what is emerging. Wine has always been about movement. Across borders, across generations, across cultures carrying stories of place, people, and possibility. With @ibestwines I’ve been building from that belief positioning wine not on the sidelines of culture, but within it. The path has not been without complexity but it has only deepened my conviction, and refined how I build and lead. So to walk into Costco and see our bottles there honestly meant everything to me. . From Haiti to Sotheby’s — my latest painting, Little Ingrid, is officially up for auction in support of the Queens Museum. This piece is about pride, presence, and the power of being seen. This little girl would grow up to help change the wine industry. Today, we honor and give flowers to Ingrid Best — a visionary whose leadership continues to open doors and redefine what representation in wine looks like. There are so many things I could say about the last few days at the @excelerateher conference and I will, in time. But for now, I keep thinking about my younger self. There was a time when I dreamed of becoming a Dentist. I applied to the School of Dentistry at Howard University. What many of you know is that I was a teenage mom. What you may not know is that life took me on a different path, and that dream didn’t happen. I kept the letter. The correspondence from Howard’s School of Dentistry I’ve held onto it all these years. But I’ve always prayed: God, send me my people. Send me the people I would have met had my life taken that route. And then I met you, @doctoramira It didn’t fully register in the moment. But I was reminded of that letter and it all clicked. You are my younger self’s HERO. A Howard graduate. An award-winning dentist and so much more. Brilliant, beautiful and powerful!!! Getting to celebrate you Amira at @excelerateher made me so happy! The greats focus... That’s a piece of advice I received from someone I deeply admire in the art world and it’s stayed with me. It’s easy to feel like you need to be everywhere. Always visible. Always moving. But I’ve been doing something different going deeper. Deeper in the work. Deeper in the brand. Deeper in what inspires me. Deeper in my evolution as a Founder. Unstoppable. Start With Yourself… ♥️ I’ve been watching @emmagrede and what she’s been building and it’s been beautiful to witness. There’s an intention and clarity in her work that feels badass, inspiring, and deeply grounded. Because the truth is, on my journey, it has always started with me. The decisions, the discipline, the belief doing the inner work first, even when no one else could see it. So this title doesn’t just resonate… it feels personal. I’m so grateful to have received an early copy of her new book “Start With Yourself” thank you to Emma and her incredible team, @carolinesmx and @its_dbrown for sharing this gem with me. I can’t wait to dive in, to sit with it, and to be reminded of what it really means to begin within. If you’re on a path of building, growing, or becoming this is your sign. Start With Yourself. ✨

One of the greatest blessings in my life is being able to move with intention in how and where I show up. When this moment came together, it wasn’t just about a campaign. It was about making sure every piece reflected what matters most to me. As an advisor to @butterartfair being able to shoot in the middle of build-out surrounded by the energy of what was about to open felt incredibly special. The team welcomed us in, and I was able to stand in front of works by artists like @aprilbey_ and @wallflowermccoy voices that deserve to be seen and celebrated. Building @ibestwines has always been rooted in that same spirit: community, culture, intention. What I wore was intentional the @harlemsfashionrow x @atelierndigo x @gap jacket a celebration of creativity and the designers shaping culture. That day held all of it art, love, wine, and yes… some very good cookies. But more than anything, it was about being part of something that supports founders. As a startup, I know how much it means to be seen, supported, and poured into. Thank you @d_ricks for supporting the vision and bringing it to life at Butter Art Fair. Marking the close of Women’s Month in a way that reflects what we are building every day. What unfolded was more than a dinner. It was energy, alignment, and intention in motion. Nonstop conversation. Laughter and the kind of connections that don’t end when the night does.
