Expansion lives in imagination until it is realized.
I was called to make expansions and shifts mostly in my perceptions to ingest and shift perspective. Our Businesses have been nonconventional, I stopped apologizing and leaned into it. Malibu’s Art space has been an evolution, DTLA is the jump off for often what exists in my head as possibility, but may be restricted by walls and conventional requirements. Daniel Tyree thank you for the dramatic exquisite presentation of your work at Jac Forbes Contemporary DTLA.
Thank you all for seeing me and supporting an invigorating and enduring presentation of creative visual and multi media projects. As a woman I embrace soft spaces I can land and the challenging rough spots that push me to be better and better.
Someone said after the death of my beloved ‘you have already been to hell and back’…I am grateful there is something to come back to. I love my f@&king Village to the moon and back… I keep getting up because you give me a hand.

On the day ‘freedom Day’ (Juneteenth) I got to witness the power of ‘Black women in the Arts’ - leading the conversation in a community steeped in beauty,support and truth
We spoke the truth - we received solutions - to better take action on what drives us to ‘dream • believe • create’ (words of Arlington Forbes)
I remain grateful for @rodneyreset he continues to create impactful platforms! his love for what he does and to be of service to the greater good spreads like gold - To the team of rockstars @mcfayden19 her smart pointed words were note worthy - her ‘why’ deepens my belief in the power of a mission and focus @kenturah it is the beauty that she creates AND what is exceptional is her mindful execution of passion to purpose and my dear @ms_ibest you lead by example a powerhouse, your honest story-telling engaged us on your Artful journey towards healing - World take note!

We invite you to join us at the gallery this Saturday the 18th of October at 1pm for a conversation between artist Victoria Cassinova and arts executive Jacqueline ‘Jac’ Forbes for Cassinova’s Soil for Healing solo exhibition.
On view now ‘til the 25th of October, the works in Soil for Healing are an exploration of alchemy at the meeting point between grief and the spiritual, where the human experience of loss becomes a catalyst for transformation.
“Working with oil painting, collage, graphite, and charcoal, I engage with the threshold where the body, psyche, and spirit meet in the aftermath of trauma.”
Victoria Cassinova is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist working in painting, graphite, digital art and murals. Her work explores themes of alchemy, transformation, and healing through bold, emotive compositions. Rooted in a deep engagement with the subconscious and the unseen, her practice channels personal and collective experiences into visual narratives that invite introspection and renewal.
Jacqueline ‘Jac’ Forbes is a visionary gallerist, cultural strategist, creative producer, and arts executive dedicated to inclusive storytelling, public engagement, and global arts programming. With over 20 years of experience across contemporary art, television production, and cultural placemaking, she is the Founder of Jac Forbes Contemporary, a gallery, curatorial spaces, and consultancy advancing culture through public art, exhibitions, and strategic partnerships.
