Nicolas Baier’s “Analogues” is currently on view in “Twilight Zone”, a group exhibition co-curated with Claudia Trahan at Arsenal Contemporary in New York. The exhibition will continue through June 6, 2026 💡 Baier’s work is a study of relationships between macro and micro systems. There is a metaphysical component to his research and resulting compositions as he endeavors to reveal invisible layers of the world lying just beyond reach. 1-3: Nicolas Baier, “Analogues”, 2025, inkjet print, 42 x 52 1/2 in. Photography by Lance Brewer. 4-5: “Twilight Zone”, installation view, 2026. Photography by Greg Carideo. 🔭🔭🔭 #nightgallery @nicolas.baier #nicolasbaier @arsenalcontemporary

Hayley Barker’s work is now on view at Frieze New York through Sunday May 17, 2026. Visit us in Booth D5!

The artist’s delicately applied layers of oil paint build colors that honor the ethereal quality of desert light—neither purely representational nor abstracted, but hovering in a space between memory and observation. Working exclusively from her own photographs, Barker resists mere replication, instead allowing her paintings to become meditations on presence, solitude, and interspecies connection.  Frieze New York, installation view, 2026. Photography by Lance Brewer. 🌷🌷🌷 #nightgallery @barker_hayley #hayleybarker @friezeofficial @alina_cohen @the_adaa

Acacia Marable’s “Mixed Feelings Color Pains” continues at Night Gallery through May 23, 2026.  In “Mixed Feelings Color Pains”, the dartboard is the instrument through which Marable’s complex color investigations take form. His homage to the circle. The repetitive paintings’ geometry not only echoes targets to aim at, but also pie charts of statistical breakdowns.  Acacia Marable, “Color Pains #24”, 2026, oil and wire on sisal dartboard, 17 1/2 x 17 1/2 x 2 in. We are thrilled to announce Shannon Cartier Lucy’s solo exhibition “Bucket of Birds” opening on June 6, 2026 at Night Gallery. This will be Cartier Lucy’s second exhibition with the gallery following “Rubedo” in 2023 🪿 Lucy’s paintings have always operated in the space where the recognizable becomes strange. Working primarily from assembled and altered source images, she describes her practice as one of deliberate disruption, taking familiar material and reorienting it until something latent surfaces. The results are pictures that feel simultaneously clear and unresolved, their apparent straightforwardness riddled with ambiguity. Frieze New York opens today! Visit us in Booth D5 to see our solo presentation of new paintings by Hayley Barker 🎊 Working from photographs that are then transformed into large-scale sketches, Barker “draws” with oil paint, using small brushes on large linen canvases. Building colors that are as ethereal and complex as the landscapes she depicts, the artist prioritizes mood and memory over strict realism. Among these new works is a painting of the Tamarisk tree in Georgia O’Keeffe’s garden, for which the artist had commissioned a sofa specifically positioned to gaze upon it. Hayley Barker, “Tamarisk,” 2026, oil on linen, 130” x 76”. Photography by Nik Massey. 🌕🌕🌕 #nightgallery @barker.hayley #hayleybarker @friezenewyork @alina_cohen @the_adaa

Corinna Gosmaro’s solo exhibition “The Whole Adrift” continues through May 23, 2026 ☀️ We filter everything—through emotion, memory, chemistry, culture, and the random accumulation of a life—and that entanglement teems and shifts, ceaselessly generating new combinations. To understand oneself as a filter, as porous and reactive as the material Gosmaro works with, is to become less certain of what one sees. 1-4: Corinna Gosmaro, “Nesting,” 2026, mixed media on polyester filters, 52” x 74” x 2 ½”. Photography by Nik Massey. 5-7: Corinna Gosmaro, “The Whole Adrift”, installation view, 2026. Photography by Marten Elder. 🌬️🌬️🌬️ #nightgallery @corinna.gosmaro #corinnagosmaro @bremondcapela

Happy Birthday to Night Gallery artist Paul Heyer! 🎂 As subjects, skies and spirals speak to Heyer’s interest in painting as a present-tense activity and the subjects’ dual nature as constant and ever-changing. Heyer is interested in painting as a site of belief and belief-production. Have a great day Paul! 💚 Paul Heyer, “Spiral on Sky (Silly Monk)”, 2016, oil and charcoal on canvas with Bemburg silk, 19 x 14 in 🫧🫧🫧 #nightgallery @paulhigher247 #paulheyer

Happy Mothers Day from Night Gallery! 💐 Today we’re thinking about Michelle Blade’s solo exhibition “It’s About Time.” The paintings in Blade’s presentation engage with motherhood, domestic nurturing, and, as the name suggests, the passing of time. Come by to see the show, which will remain on view through May 30, 2026. ⏳ Michelle Blade, “The Second Time,” 2026, acrylic and ink on poplin, 48” x 60”. Congratulations to Anthony Olubunmi Akinbola whose solo exhibition “Get Well Soon” is now on view in Dubai at Carbon 12 through May 25, 2026. 🌸 Moving through a long history of botanical and floral painting, in this series Akinbola places himself in conversation with artists who have approached this genre across centuries. In “Get Well Soon”, Akinbola assembles durags into compositions that are drawn from the structure of classical floral still lifes. Acacia Marable’s solo exhibition “Mixed Feelings Color Pains” continues at Night Gallery through May 23, 2026 🎯 The works in “Mixed Feelings Color Pains” include exploded sections, blurred lines, ornamentation, and painted beauty making them a dizzying landscape in which to play the game of darts. And that is what Marable wants, to make the player contemplate what they are taking aim at. 1-3: Acacia Marable, “Color Pains #22,” 2026, oil and wire on sisal dartboard. Twilight Zone is now on view at Arsenal Contemporary in New York 💫 Inspired by the cultural legacy and philosophical premise of Rod Serling’s eponymous television series, this group exhibition brings together a disparate group of artists whose practices probe the mysterious terrain between the rational and the unknown. “Twilight Zone”, installation view, 2026.
