I’m really happy and proud (and all the other superlatives) to share that my mohel practice was just featured in New York Magazine's Encounter section. The very talented writer @alinacohen accompanied through a day of my work to gain some insight into what drives my practice. Her kindness, sincere interest and story telling all shine through her wonderful writing.
My sincere thanks to her and the editorial team at @nymag for this recognition and opportunity to have an glimpse into my day to day work.
My work as a certified mohel is centered on helping families navigate one of the most meaningful moments in Jewish family life with aim towards technical precision, pastoral sensitivity, and care. It is a privilege to get to serve families across a wide range of Jewish backgrounds, denominations, and family structures every day in my work.
I’m also deeply grateful to the many families who have and continue entrust with this sacred moment in their lives. It's something I never take for granted.

Yesterday, KUNSTRAUM had the pleasure of hosting New York–based writer Alina Cohen @alinacohen and Berlin-based curator and founder of KÜSSE Berlin, Mathilde Castaignède @nathash44 / @kusse.berlin , for an afternoon of one-on-one studio visits with our Artists in Residence: Ryan Muchen Wang @muchenryan , Xin Lian @zinsinjinshin , and Sophie Leonie Shantiben @akayourfairygodmother .
Our studio visit program creates space for connection and exchange—where artists can share their work, receive thoughtful feedback and professional perspectives, and engage in open-ended conversations that invite reflection and experimentation.
These moments of close looking and dialogue are at the heart of our residency, nurturing artistic growth through care, curiosity, and community.
Alina joined the visits in person (photos 1–3), while Mathilde met with the artists virtually (photo 4 - image by @__pilotenkueche . Thanks to Alina and Mathilde and all artists involved!

Delighted to have been selected for “In Black & White,” a month-long exhibit with @sitebrooklyn , thoughtfully curated by @alinacohen .
Excerpted from her curatorial statement, Alina Cohen writes, “Such artworks ask us to reconsider what we really mean by “black” and “white,” and what we may accomplish by playing within or circumventing binary systems writ large. Male or female. Life or death. Figuration or abstraction. The considerable strictures of producing artworks In Black and White, it seems, leave plenty of room for expression, exploration, and the in-between.“

We are thrilled to announce “Magnetic Field,” Wanda Koop’s upcoming solo exhibition. Co-curated with Night Gallery, the show will be on view at Arsenal Contemporary in New York from September 5 through October 18, 2025.
One of Canada’s most accomplished painters, Koop has had over 60 one-person exhibitions throughout Canada, as well as in Great Britain, The Netherlands, Germany, India, Brazil, China, Japan, and Italy. Last year in an interview with Tom Power of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Koop revealed that she has been painting the moon for her entire life. “I see it sort of as a mirror,” she said. “It’s a constant reminder that we’re on a little blue ball in the middle of nowhere.”

Very excited to have a Letter of Recommendation in The New York Times Magazine today, which I’m reading from my perch in Brooklyn, with a glass of tap water :)
Leaving Los Angeles only slightly worse for the wear, thanks to some stationary objects (this pole and the garage door). Thrilled to have a story in @latimesimage and adventure with new and old friends before I head out… 💓 🌴 ☀️
