PLEASE SHARE THIS REEL :) check out the link in the Bio About The Jump - It took a total of 2.5 weeks, flying, driving, hiking & ski touring just to get to this exit point with many obstacles to overcome along the way. Admittedly for maybe just a second it was a little devastating when we first arrived to the possible jump spot, and seeing that the edge of cliff was just a big rocky slope. Sitting down on one of the big rocks with the realisation that we had actually come about 4 weeks too late. Do we come back next season? But this doubt was short lived, the improvising mindset soon kicked in, adapting to find a solution. Shortly after we found the perfect slope but we knew we had a big next day ahead of us, having to clear a runway, by moving boulders/rocks & adding snow. It took most of the next day until we had nothing left in the tank. We all worked so hard & the lack of oxygen, constant headaches & sleeping at around 6000m added to the body degrading. One of the guys even said “this is harder than when I climbed Everest”. Exhausted, We slept another night at altitude. The dream was to do several nice S turns and ski eloquently off the cliff but in reality all we had was just a humble rocky filled runway at an exit height of nearly 6000m. That night we were blessed with a 2cm dusting of snow, not much but it helped. Some nice heavy breathing before the jump through exhaustion & lack of oxygen but this just added to the exhilaration especially with Everest in the backdrop. This was a fully self funded project, no big sponsors, tech gear was borrowed from friends (you know who you are, legends) skis were second hand & the clothing worn was cheap fake stuff from Kathmandu You don’t need all the fancy glitz, you just need a ‘Can Do Atitude’ with a sense of adventure, some dogged persistence & a good team #guinnesworldrecord #worldrecord #skiing #basejump #charity
