Buffalo has been selected as the survival apparel partner for Project Unbreakable’s Mission 001.
Project Unbreakable brings together a team of UK Armed Forces veterans, technical experts and mission specialists to test products, systems and technologies in the harshest environments on earth. Their model is validation-as-a-service (VaaS): using real-world missions to generate performance data where controlled conditions can only go so far.
Mission 001 is an attempt to set an unbreakable world record on Mount Everest this May, with testing embedded throughout the mission. They are also raising awareness and funds for @rescuingnepalsdaughters .
Buffalo will supply key products from the range alongside bespoke innovations developed for the demands of high-altitude operations.
Full details to be revealed at the mission briefing: 21.04.26. 📸 @rupert.jones.warner
The Project Unbreakable team have completed their training and preparations to move through the Khumbu Icefall.
Every vertical metre gained is a step towards @mountainmanbase flying the flag for #everydaughtermatters on the summit, followed by setting an all-time world record.
Built in Sheffield. Worn on Everest. @buffalosystems is proud to supply the team with UK-manufactured survival apparel.

Massive thanks to @polarpreet and @_mitchhutch who came to Buffalo Basecamp this week for our first outdoor speaker session in Sheffield. They are heroes of the brand.
Preet is one of the world’s top polar explorers and shared her drive, passion and ambition. Just a day back from her 40-day expedition in the Arctic, we heard tales of polar bears, icebergs and relentless cold.
Mitch has recently published his first book, Limitless, about his triathlon to Everest, in which he swam the Channel, cycled 11,000km, ran 900km and then climbed the highest mountain on earth.
Preet and Mitch both share our Buffalo DNA of Grit and Steel, and we were very proud to host them and to continue to support them.
Thanks to our Buffalo community for coming to our first event.
Keep an eye out for our newsletter for information on our next speaker session.
THE APPROACH 🏔️
Mission 001 has commenced with its opening phase.
#JoshBregmen, the @mountainmanbase , left Lukla on Tuesday and trekked through the Khumbu, to arrive at Everest Base Camp (EBC) yesterday.
As the altitude increases and the air thins, the body’s routines begin to shift even in homeostasis. This is the exact point where “Type 2 Fun” begins, and where the team commence their examination of human performance under pressure.
Onward from EBC, Josh will move through high-altitude terrain in a UK-manufactured survival system developed by @buffalosystems
STAY AT THE SHARP END: Follow the live mission and exclusive media via the Labrys Axiom X feed. Link in the @unbreakableeverest2026 bio or comment JOIN.

This May 2026, on Everest, Joshua Bregmen will attempt an all-time unbreakable world record: the world's highest BASE jump.
Once set, this will be unbeatable for all time.

Final preparations have been completed in Kathmandu. Next: The deployment to Everest Base Camp for an unbreakable world record attempt.
Project Supporters and Patrons can track the journey in real time and interact directly with the team on the Labrys Axiom X app. This is where we will announce the world-first, first.
