Yesterday we released ‘Aurora In Georgian Bay’, the second album from Light Vortex. Limited CDs are available at mortalitytables.bandcamp.com
Light Vortex is the latest project of electronic musician and producer Chris Moore. Kicking off with a contribution to SKAM’s notoriously limited-edition MASK series in 1998, Moore has released a string of 12-inches and LPs as While, Polysilicon, and Thresholds on labels as diverse as Neo Ouija, Musik aus Strom, Chocolate Industries and Psoma Psi Phi.
Moore is also a founding member of ecstatic minimalist group A.M. Boys, and has mixed, recorded, and designed synth sounds for artists including Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio and David Bowie.

Today we’ve announced the release of ‘This Is The New Record By…’, a new album from The Music Liberation Front Sweden (Michael Evill).
This comes hot on the heels of his recent album for SubExotic, ‘Lost Hope Society’, and his contribution to the Dustopian Frequencies ‘Celebrating The Bat Chapter 2’ compilation (which I reviewed at furtherdot.com). The MLFS have also released a track as part of The Impermanence Project, ‘Even Though It Was The Blink Of An Eye, I’m Sorry For What We Have Become’.
We are absolutely thrilled to be releasing this album. Michael has such a rare talent for instinctively evoking emotion in his compositions, a talent which is evident across the ten tracks collected here. He says it may be his last album of new material. Let’s all hope it’s not.
Full press release in bio. CD and digital editions available 22 May.
