10/10 recommend making babies with your best friend 🤸‍♀️ Nothing has been more confronting, fulfilling, hilarious, exhausting, bonding and loving than becoming a parent. Man, you really think you at least sort of know what you are getting into when you decide to have a baby. HA! But somewhere between some of these sleepless nights and early mornings, these new versions of ourselves found a groove, and it’s like “Oh my god. We are doing it. We are doing the thing.” And it’s AWESOME. An adventure. A welcome challenge. Worth it.

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I married my best friend, co-troublemaker, life partner - my everything. Our wedding was a dream, and the year after has been filled with global adventures, face-aching laughter and a beautiful and perfect daughter. October 5, 2024. Everyone told us it was going to be a blur. We promised each other that we’d be glued at the hip, and that we’d remember to take in moments of stillness as we moved throughout the day. All year, every day we’d ask each other (often shouting from across the house, or interrupting conversations with each other), “Hey! Did you know that we are getting married?!”. And then we were there. Never a second where the air wasn’t charged with love, or a conversation left where we weren’t moved. We were carried moment by moment through the sea of our beautiful, warm and attentive community. The home we found at the end of the aisle was better than we could have ever imagined. Everything was truly perfect. If only our teenage selves knew what was in store for them years down the road. We are so grateful that each version of ourselves had the innate knowledge to move towards each other, life lesson by life lesson. Two best friends, life partners, and lovers. We’ve won. Forever, baby!
