✨ Sometimes, the most powerful meetings are not in boardrooms♥️they are moments of care, alignment, trust and human connection.
This week in Portugal, between a very full and demanding schedule, I experienced something truly special. Through a little “chemistry” and a touch serendipity♥️ I was guided to an incredible woman from @b.on.pilates@_belcilda_ who supported me in ways I didn’t even realise I needed.
She welcomed me into her diary with such generosity, despite my limited time.
She worked on my body with care and precision — helping my legs, my back, my alignment — restoring not just movement, but balance and calm in my legs.
And in the middle of meetings, fundraising, and global conversations, I was reminded of something essential:
👉🏾 We cannot pour into the world if we do not take care of ourselves.
As women, as leaders, as builders of change — our bodies carry our missions.
And when we travel, it is so important to find the people who help us stay grounded, aligned, and whole.
I am deeply grateful for her time, her energy, and her healing hands.
These are the quiet moments that make the loud impact possible.
💛 🤍♥️💫Thank you for reminding me that care is also part of the work. Cc @nice.and.tall

💫Skills = Freedom ✨💛
When you have skills, you can transfer them anywhere. 🌍
You can build, grow, work, and lead. 🚀💻
I tell our girls to aim to develop their skills. The world needs young women and girls with skills. Technical Skills, Life Skills, Soft Skills, and Human-Centric Values Skills.
✅Skills open doors 🚪
✅Skills create confidence 💪
✅Skills create independence 🌱
✅Skills create opportunity ✨
✅Skills give you money and dignity.

Update 💛We just left Dadaab. Our hearts are full. So much to do!! My goodness 🙏🏾
A place that is so hard for young women and girls. A place filled with challenge, uncertainty, and limitation ; but also filled with brilliance, resilience, and the most beautiful, powerful young women.
As an African woman, I am extremely proud to have launched the iamtheCODE Academy there. 💙
We now have two rooms:
✨ A Well-Being Room — because mental health, dignity, and emotional intelligence matter.
💻 An ICT Room — because access to technology is access to opportunity.
The girls have received their computers. And we are about to begin training them in AI and coding.
This moment means everything to me and our wonderful team💕
Dadaab is a place our continent should never forget. It is a place that deserves support, guidance, and investment; especially where opportunities often feel non-existent.
But today, innovation has arrived.
Over the next four years, these young women will grow brighter, stronger, more skilled. They will be part of the global conversation. They will not be excluded from the future of AI; they will help shape it.
I am humbled and proud to play a small part in their journey.
Africa’s girls are ready. And we must stand with them. 🌍✨
Thank you @unhcrkenya@salih for all great partnership.

Hello February 🤍🌸
Each week in our wonderful yoga classes before we begin our flow, Alli 🧘♀️invites us to choose one word — a quiet word to keep with us.
I find that ritual deeply beautiful and inspiring 🧘♀️
Word means a lot. What we say, how we say it.
The word I chose today was correction.
A reminder that sometimes we need to correct:
How we show up,
How we reflect,
How we behave,
How we connect
How we speak
How we build
What we do,
What we eat,
What we say,
and how we care for ourselves and for others.
Correction is powerful and possible.
It’s awareness.
It’s refinement.
It’s an adjustment
It’s part of the healing process 🤍
January was tough for many of us, challenging, cold but we stayed present and consistent. We succeeded as a team. We overcame as a team. And for that, I’m deeply grateful.♥️
Thank you, @alli_avaiayoga_retreats for holding such a thoughtful space every week ✨🙏🏾
Thank you @lily_lapenna for all your knowledge sharing and generosity. Truly appreciate what you do to make us better leaders so we can serve the most marginalised on earth. Merci 🙏🏾
Wishing you all a gentle, grounded, and hopeful February 🤍💛

Happy Wednesday 💫
I’m opening my world a little, dear friends and supporters. I’m looking for an Executive Assistant, someone to walk alongside me as I continue advancing girls in STEM and education globally over the next four years.
This role is built on trust, empathy, accountability, responsibility, and care. I have built a strong, values-led organisation, and I now want to take it to the finishing line with the right team beside me.
If this speaks to you, or if you know someone who would be a great fit, I would love to hear from you.
Please message me directly or share this with someone who may be the right person. Thank you again for your support.

✨ Happy New Year ✨and Reflecting on my 2018 visit to the Artic.I was scared but I did not give up!
♥️So if you are reading this! Do not give up! You really have to pull yourself together and keep going. I have seen the worse of humanity and the best of humanity.
Thousands of people whom have nothing except their bodies to move them from one place to another place. No food, no water, electricity, mother, father, family, aunt, uncles or dreams. Nobody to give them a hand or support. Nobody is coming and they know this!
But they are not GIVING UP. They have no choice! They know things will get better. One day at the time! 🕰️
Protect your happiness 🤍 Be curious. Open your mind. Feel your energy ✨ Pay attention to your surroundings— your family, your friends, the people who truly love you 🌱 You are who you surround yourself with. Protect your peace. Protect yourself. Protect your mind 💕
I learned this in 2018, when I visited the Arctic ❄️ In the silence, the cold, and the vastness, I understood that resilience is not dramatic. It’s calm. It’s steady. It’s courage in the presence of fear — and choosing to keep going anyway.
This is the Year of the Horse 🐎
Have a plan. Write your vision boards ✍🏽
Work hard. Dont pretend.Be steady. Carry on. Don’t give up. Use your 24hrs efficiency and effectively. Read-learn, take a course! Time is not waiting for you!
Whatever is not yours, let it go.
Whatever doesn’t belong to you, release it.
What is meant for you will be yours — and it will come your way 💫
🤍Breathe 🧘♂️ Become and Believe 🙏🏾

What an honour and privilege to spend time with New York @nice.and.tall best Pilates teachers. Exactly where the father of Pilates started. He saved me during my busy schedule at the @unitednations He was Professional, supportive and kind. Thanks Konstantin for all your teaching and support. You are amazing 🤩 🥰♥️
🎉This week in New York reminded me why we do this work. I’ve been working closely with the United Nations and partners including the @ituofficial@refugees sharing the vision and impact of iamtheCODE, and meeting extraordinary people who truly believe in this mission.
The support and commitment have been powerful as we look ahead to the next four years and our goal of 1 million women and girls coders by 2030.
I am proudly British, and I will never forget where I come from. Senegal 🇸🇳 is my country of birth.♥️
I stand with one foot in the UK and one foot in Africa—and my heart committed to the world.
As a custodian of human-centric values, I will always push—relentlessly—to ensure that young women and girls everywhere have access to the skills they need:
human skills, life skills, and soft skills.
Thank you to everyone who supported me and iamtheCODE this year—who invited us into your countries, funded our work, donated, partnered, give us a seat 💺 at the table and believed in this mission.
We are deeply grateful.
Our hearts are full.♥️
Thank you, everyone for your love, donations, connections and kindness♥️🤍
This week feels incredibly important and deeply tough for iamtheCODE and for our girls. 🌍💫
I am honored to be speaking at the United Nations, carrying the voices of girls from across the world, especially our Kakuma refugee girls in Kenya.
As they prepare to leave the camp and move to Nairobi to begin their university education, this moment is powerful—but also challenging, emotional, and fragile. Transition is never easy, especially when you are carrying so much history, resilience, and hope. 🎓🤍
I’m humbled to showcase the work we are doing, and to stand for these girls at such a critical time in their lives.
And in the middle of all this responsibility, I’m also learning to take care of myself. I discovered an incredible Joseph Pilates studio—where it all began, here in New York. A place of grounding and strength. 🧘🏾♀️- My lovely top coach Konstantin at @nice.and.tall is just amazing 🥰🥰🥰
Grateful for the trainers helping me care for my body, support my leg, slow my breath, and prepare—physically and mentally; to speak from the heart.
Hard moments. Brave girls. Deep purpose. 🤍
