Day and night, Ukrainians are living with the uncertainty and fear of repeated attacks.
This should never become anyone’s new normal.
But it’s the reality for millions of Ukrainians.
Your support can provide some comfort and relief to people living under continued attack.
A ceasefire is in place in Lebanon. For some, it meant going back after weeks of displacement.
Thousands of families made brief journeys south, hoping to find what they left behind. Many returned north again, met with destroyed homes, uncertainty and a reality that still doesn’t feel safe.
For others, going back hasn’t been possible. Their homes are gone.
This is what displacement looks like. Not one journey, but many. Back and forth, between hope and loss.
People across Lebanon are still trying to cope with the consequences of war.
Please don’t forget them.
The crisis in South Sudan is forcing families to flee.
Tens of thousands of people have been displaced inside South Sudan and to neighbouring countries.
More people are arriving. Needs are rising fast.
Support is not keeping pace.
Please don’t look away.
For over a decade, Goodwill Ambassador Cate Blanchett has used her voice to lift up refugees around the world.
She has helped bring greater visibility to the stories and resilience of displaced people, while building support for refugees globally.
Thank you, Cate, for your dedication to refugees. 💙
This week alone, humanitarians were targeted in attacks twice while delivering much-needed assistance to people in need in Ukraine.
In Kherson, a clearly marked UN vehicle delivering aid to civilians was hit by two drone strikes. Earlier this week, another UN aid truck was struck in the Dnipro region.
Humanitarians risk their lives to reach people in need.
Civilians and aid workers must be protected.
They are #NotATarget.
Families come in all shapes and sizes. However a family looks, one thing is certain. Families belong together. Refugee families belong together.
For millions of refugees, staying together through displacement is not a given. It is something struggled for, waited for, and too often, lost.
On Family Day, we celebrate every family in all its forms, and reaffirm that no family should be torn apart by force.
From our families to yours, happy #FamilyDay.

13 years apart.
Daniel’s mother could only speak to her sister through phone calls, messages and photos after fleeing to New Zealand as refugees. For 13 years.
This was the moment they finally reunited.
Family reunification is more than paperwork. It restores support systems, belonging, healing and hope.
Families belong together. ❤️

A nurse Louange met during a hospital stay as a child changed the direction of her life.
She decided then: “I need to be like this nurse.”
So she trained. She went back to the camp every semester. She started self-funding health screenings out of her own pocket. She knew better than anyone what people there couldn't access, and she knew the skills she was building could start to change that. What began as a gesture to fill a gap in services is now a registered organization expanding into reproductive health.
Happy #InternationalNursesDay. #NursesDay
She lost almost everything when she fled the war in Sudan. But not her voice or her determination.
Shaima is now starting over in Chad, where she’s building a women-led initiative and creating income, independence and a future for others too.
This is her story from displacement to determination.
Refugee women hold entire worlds in their arms. Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers carrying home wherever they can.

No mother should be separated from her child.
After years apart, Fatoumata finally reunited with her daughter Aminata.
This #MothersDay, we’re thinking of the families still waiting for that moment.
Families belong together. ❤️
