PURPLE EVERYWHERE 💜
10 years since Prince passed and it’s cool to see the Wolves still honoring him. Here’s a sneak peak at some BTS on a “Prince Night” wolves game last month with @purple_highs .
Video with Prince’s longtime DJ @nomusicnoparty breaking down it down coming soon!
ATL!!! LOVE was in the air on valentines with U…from my hometown to yours, thank you for the energy, the healing, and joy we could share in ❤️✊🏾

As Black history month begins, let’s acknowledge the intentional targeting of Black, indepedent journalists like @bygeorgiafort and how it goes hand in hand with the targeted attacks on Black activists like @nekimal . While obscene, the tactics are not brand new. This country was built through the extracted labor of Black bodies trafficked here for the sole purpose of violent exploitation of their humanity.
The foundation of every system in the U.S. is this story of chattel slavery. It was unique in that it was defined by race, used to classify Black people as not human, but property. This country never truly reconciled with that original sin (or the genocide of the indigenous bodies who originally oversaw this land.)
It’s why across the country white supremacists are working overtime to BAN Black history in schools and why Black voices are violently suppressed. They can’t have you questioning the foundation of your country or acknowledge the lies that hide underneath American “exceptionalism.”
Why did DHS have 20+ of their federal goons in full gear try to intimidate the mostly Black and brown crowd of supporters for @bygeorgiafort and push them out of a public lobby at the courthouse in Minneapolis?
Got to be the same reason they arrested @nekimal and posted racist ai photos to try and build their narrative. The same reason they didn’t give up when they were denied arrest warrants for the Black, independent journalists who were doing their job at the church protest. They want so badly to look powerful. To intimidate, quell dissent, and control perception of what’s happening.
But it ain’t working and the community is standing strong.
(Clips from a longer edit from 1.30.26 that started with a press conference about the arrest of Georgia Fort, Trahern Crews, Jamael Lundy and Don Lemon and ended with a judge ordering their release)
1.24.26 ICE murders another Minneapolis community member. Executes him publicly in the middle of the street. The community shows up to grieve, to demand SOMETHING happen, to be together. The feds (AND LOCAL POLICE) tear gas, flash bang, pepper spray, and shoot “less lethal” munitions at them.
Civil rights attorney and activist Nekima Levy Armstrong’s attorney spoke with press and supporters who packed the federal courthouse in St. Paul to detail sham charges and proceedings against Nekima.
A judge initially ruled she was to be released, but prosecutors apparently filed an appeal and got a judge to demand she remain detained in the meantime.
Just some moments from Minneapolis over the last week or so…
I went to get a gas mask the other day and the first two stores were completely sold out. The guy working the register at the second store helped search inventory across stores, told me to be careful and let me know they had restocked and sold out multiple times and that the last one went to someone who was here with press covering everything. That’s where we are.. people from around the world are here documenting the insane federal occupation of our city. Gas masks are sold out. Our people are being kidnapped, brutalized and having their “constitutional rights” violated daily.
But the community is stepping up and it’s beautiful to see.
