2025 reminded me that I am already exactly the artist I need to be. 🍋
for ten years, I ran away from my essence as a creative, an artist, a poet, a songwriter and a singer.
the fact is, the more I explore this passion, collaborate with incredible musicians, and sing to gorgeous, receptive audiences… the more I am enthralled with the raw beauty of spending my precious time on this planet in this magical way.
not exactly sure what 2026 holds, but I promise to be singing many songs in a lot of different places ✨

moved to Madrid and created an incredible international community, read a lot of books and partied definitely too hard aka this is why I am now 3 years sober
broke my first heart (sorry L) and fell in love again
bought my first ever guitar (a beautiful black Yamaha that I still have, now in Providence)
wrote my first ever collection of songs,. one of which was "darker weeks," my album opener
I simultaneously feel a universe away and intimately in touch with all of these versions of self...
in 2036 I imagine I will be Dr Yaz with a house and some babies but let's see 🔮
