today has been a goooood day
running has been my escape for a good couple of years now - whenever life is too much and work is too stressful, running has definitely saved the day
I reminded myself that in July 2024 I felt rubbish so I set out to run as far I could before I couldn’t run anymore and I managed 13km in 1hr30… if I could tell that Dan that we would go and run a half marathon in 1hr38 less than two years later, he’d laugh (loudly)
I’ve been a bit quiet about setting goals with this race but those close to me will know that I really wanted to get sub 1.40 so I’m dead pleased to have got it
the crowds were incredible and the runners were so supportive to each other - I LOVE BRISTOL
time to keep chipping away at those numbers now I guess

tonight is @lauraedmonds21 ’s last show with @bbcintroducing in the south west as her apprenticeship ends and we are going to miss her so much
from day one (get it?), she has been brilliant and an exemplary apprentice
she’s dived head first into every single thing asked of her and become an integral part of the SW music scene
when she joined the team, I said to her that the thing that’ll surprise her most is just how big the community feel is in SW - how everyone wants everyone else to do well - and you have all taken her in with open arms
I’m certain this won’t be the last you see of Laura in the SW but she’s going to be on the show tonight talking about her time with intro SW so now is your opportunity to drop some love in the comments so I can read them to her later (which she will definitely hate but I’m doing it anyway!)
