Sometimes life becomes bigger than a TV show ❤️
This May, cast members from EVERY series of Race Across The World will be coming together to run the Manchester 10K in memory of our friend Sam.
A year ago, none of us could ever have imagined we’d be doing something like this. Different people, different seasons, different journeys… all brought together because one person left such a huge mark on so many lives.
Sam was one of those people you never forget. The kind of person who could light up a room without even trying. He made people laugh, made people feel included and made ordinary moments special just by being there. His loss has been deeply felt by everyone who knew him.
We’ll be running together not only to honour Sam’s memory, but to raise money for The Christie Charity — a cause that now means so much to all of us. Cancer is something that has touched every member of this group in one way or another, and we know how important hope, support and care can be for families going through the hardest times imaginable.
What makes this even more emotional is that Sam’s mum, Jo, will be there with us on the day. Knowing she supports what we’re doing and seeing everyone come together for her son means more than words can explain.
A huge thank you to the Great Manchester Run organisers @great_run for helping make this happen and supporting us from the very beginning. What started as an idea between friends has turned into something truly meaningful.
