I’m finally beginning to bring some of those ideas to life. One of them is Arise Press Zine Circle 🌀 It’s a small four-week circle where a group of creators gathers regularly to share work, exchange feedback, and slowly develop their own zines. By the end of the program, each participant will complete a finished, print-ready zine. The zines we make together will also travel a little further — they’ll be presented on an Arise Press table at Sābrs Zine Festival in Riga, Latvia (July 2026). If you’ve been wanting to make a zine, or if you have an idea that’s been sitting in the back of your mind, this circle is a space to finally turn it into something real ☺️ Term 1 Thursdays 7:30–9:30PM April 9 · April 16 · April 23 · April 30 Spots are limited to 6 participants. Looking back on 2025, our hearts feel full.
This year brought many exhibitions, events, new faces, and meaningful connections. Watching this community grow and support one another with such warmth has been truly special. We’re grateful to be part of this journey and to continue holding space for this community at Arise Art Space.

올해 어라이즈에서 여러 전시와 행사를 진행했고, 이를 통해 많은 분들을 만나고 소중한 인연들을 만들어갈 수 있었습니다. 무엇보다 서로를 응원하며 함께 성장해가는 이 커뮤니티의 모습을 지켜볼 수 있어 더욱 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다. 이 여정의 한 부분으로 어라이즈가 함께할 수 있어 감사하며, 앞으로도 이 공간이 사람과 이야기가 이어지는 자리로 남아 있기를 바랍니다.
모두에게 따뜻하고 평안한 연말이 되기를 바랍니다.

Something I’ve realized recently is that community and solidarity are what make everything possible and meaningful. Without them, none of this would have been the same. Yet within the myths borne by the waves and the legends rooted in its mountains, I came to recognize the resilient spirit and profound love that shape our people. These timeless stories hold universal values that remind us of our shared connections across borders. This exhibition brings to life the forgotten tales of Busan, captured stroke by stroke on hanji. I invite you to rediscover the face of Busan and the threads of humanity that bind us together.

Nine ghosts of burnout — a set of tarot-inspired cards I created for a project with @frc.notes and his amazing team @noksaek__ @project_sujjeo back in April. I didn’t just draw these. I lived them. Some of the cards are based on what I’ve been through, or how I tried to cope when everything felt too much or too little. Others came from stories I’ve seen around me. It was the kind of project that made me feel cracked open in the best way where drawing feels like processing, and image becomes something like a ritual. Swipe through. My next exhibition opens on Sunday in Suyeong 수영구 무인화랑. The title of the exhibition is <What Remains>, and is a meditation on the post-coronavirus era we find ourselves in.
