<Robotic system : AI X Manufacturing (반도체 웨이퍼 검사 장비 로봇)> MWC 2026 version Venue: Fira Gran Via, Barcelona Hall: Hall 3 (center of the hall) Period: March 2–5, 2026 한국어 (유)매드제너레이터는 스페인 바르셀로나에서 개최된 MWC Barcelona 2026에 참가하여, SK텔레콤 부스에서 ‘AI X Manufacturing: 반도체 웨이퍼 검사 장비 로봇’ 을 구현하였습니다. 본 프로젝트는 초정밀 반도체 웨이퍼 검사 및 스크리닝 공정을 협동형 로봇암과 AI 기술과 결합하여, 모션 디자인의 관점에서 무결점 제조를 위한 차세대 스마트 팩토리 퍼포먼스 시스템으로 새롭게 재해석한 것입니다. MWC 2026 출품을 위해 하드웨어 및 로봇 세팅을 새롭게 재구성하고 콘텐츠 비주얼을 전면 업데이트하여, 글로벌 관람객을 대상으로 AI 기반 자동화 제조 공정의 비전을 한층 몰입감 있는 시각적 경험으로 선보였습니다. English MADGENERATOR LLC participated in MWC Barcelona 2026, implementing ‘AI X Manufacturing – Semiconductor Wafer Inspection Robot’ at the SK Telecom booth. This project combines ultra-precision semiconductor wafer inspection and screening processes with collaborative robotic arms and AI technologies, newly reinterpreted from a motion design perspective as a next-generation smart factory performance system for zero-defect manufacturing. 2026 iF Design Award Winner – Interior Architecture / Installations Vision Contents - Public Installation (유)매드제너레이터는 현대자동차 E-GMP 전기차 플랫폼을 로보틱 퍼포먼스로 재해석한 설치 작품 「Vision Contents」로 2026 iF 디자인 어워드(Interior Architecture / Installations 부문)를 수상했습니다. 서울 강남 ‘현대자동차그룹 UX 스튜디오 서울’에 구현된 이 작업은 산업용 로봇암과 실제 EV 부품의 정밀한 움직임을 통해 자동차 생산 공정을 기계적 안무로 경험하게 합니다. 매드제너레이터는 디지털 렌더링이 아닌 실제 기계와 공정의 리듬을 전면에 내세워 현대자동차의 전동화 비전과 생산 미학을 드러내고자 했으며, 이번 수상은 예술·로보틱스·산업 디자인을 넘나드는 우리의 실험이 국제적으로 인정받은 결과입니다. This project is a next-generation smart factory performance system that combines ultra-precision semiconductor wafer inspection and screening processes with technologies such as collaborative robotic arms and machine-learning based AI, newly reinterpreted from a motion design perspective for zero-defect manufacturing. Through this innovative system, visitors can experience AI-driven automated wafer defect inspection and chemical screening processes as an intuitive and immersive visual experience, and vividly experience cutting-edge AI technology and the vision for future industrial manufacturing processes.

<Systematic Object - Chair / 체계화된 사물 - 의자> in 2025 ZER01NE DAY - 산업 변화의 핵심에는 기술이 있으며, 기술에 의해 모든 오브제가 점점 시스템화 되어간다. 이 사실은 우리를 풍요롭게 해주면서 동시에 불안감을 증폭시킨다. <체계화된 사물 - 의자 / Systematic Object - Chair>는 기술이 오브제를 어떻게 시스템화하고 변화시키는지, 어떤 새로운 가능성을 창출할 수 있는지에 대해 시각적으로 탐구하는 작품이다. 본 작업은 총 6대의 협동 로봇이 의자의 부품을 조립하고 해체하는 로보틱스(퍼포먼스) 작업으로, Military Side Chiar, LC1, Cesca Chair 총 3가지 형태의 의자를 조립 - 분해 후 추상적 형태로 오브제를 재조립하고 다시 분해하는 과정을 통해 기술이 오브제를 어떤 방식으로 시스템화하고, 또 어떤 새로운 가능성을 부여할 수 있는지 실험한다. <체계화된 사물 - 의자 / Systematic Object - Chair>는 관람자로 하여금 현대 기술을 대표하는 로봇이 사물의 가치를 어떻게 변화시킬 수 있는지에 대해 질문한다. - At the center of industrial change lies technology, which increasingly systematizes every object around us bringing both progress and unease. <Systematic Object – Chair> visualizes how technology transforms and redefines objects. Six collaborative robots assemble and dismantle parts of three iconic chairs — the Military Side Chair, LC1, and Cesca Chair — before reconfiguring them into abstract forms. <It Said / 가라사대> in 얼기설기 무늬의 규약, The Interlace Pattern Protocol - <가라사대 / It Said>는 방적기와 협동 로봇 간 물리적 상호작용을 통해 기술과 인간의 관계, 그리고 현대 사회의 모습을 표현한 로보틱스(퍼포먼스) 설치 작품이다. 한 때 섬유산업을 상징하던 방적기는 산업화의 흐름 속에서 보다 정밀하고 효율적인 기계와 로봇들로 대체되었다. 본 작업은 이 과정을 단순한 교체 과정으로 바라보지 않고 로봇의 형태를 동경하는 분해되고 해체된 방적기가 로봇의 지시를 맹목적으로 따라가는 장면을 통해 기술과 인간과의 관계를 은유적으로 표현한다. 협동 로봇과 분해되어 재구성된 방적기, 총 두 가지 요소로 구성된 <가라사대 /It Said>는 하나의 상징적 장면을 형성한다. 로봇은 매끄럽고 정교한 움직임을 반복하고, 방적기는 로봇의 움직임에 반응하며 따라가지만, 실에 매달린 채 흔들리는 움직임은 안정된 움직임을 형성하기 전에 새로운 움직임으로 전환된다. 본 작업은 이러한 과정을 통해 기술과 인간의 관계가 끊임없는 변화 속에서 불안정하게 유지됨을 말한다. <가라사대 / It Said>는 로봇과 방적기가 만들어내는 물리적 움직임을 바라보며, 기술을 사용하는 주체인 우리의 태도에 질문한다. 관람자는 단순히 발전으로만 읽히는 기술의 흐름 속에서 계속에서 흔들리고 또 새로운 흐름에 몸을 싣는 인간의 모습을 마주하게 된다. - <It Said> is a robotic performance installation that explores the relationship between technology and humanity through the physical interaction between a spinning machine and a collaborative robot. Once a symbol of the textile industry, the spinning machine was replaced by more precise and efficient machines and robots during industrialization. Rather than viewing this as a simple process of replacement, the work metaphorically depicts a dismantled spinning machine—longing for the form of the robot—blindly following its commands. Through this, it reveals the tension between humans and technology. As the robot repeats smooth, precise motions and the spinning machine reacts, its thread-suspended movements remain unstable, constantly shifting before settling. <DozeOff (졸고 있는 사람들)> - Kinetic Art, 45x35x15(cm) Aluminum, Dc Motor, 3D Print(PLA) made by. @mingyus02 - Doze Off(졸고 있는 사람들)는 생명체가 가지고 있는 기본적 본질 중 하나인 움직임을 기계에 부여한 작업으로 일상 속 꾸벅꾸벅 졸고 있는 현대인들의 움직임을 기계에게 부여한 작업이다. 깊게 잠들지 못하고 꾸벅꾸벅 졸다가 고개를 떨어트려, 순간 잠에서 깨지만 이내 다시 서서히 잠에 빠지게 된다. Doze Off(졸고 있는 사람들)는 이러한 사람들의 조는 모습의 관찰을 통해 특징이 되는 고개의 움직임을 스케치 과정을 거쳐 기계에 부여한 작업으로, 7개의 각 모듈은 천천히 잠에 빠져들다가 갑자기 고개를 떨어트리는 움직임을 보여주지만 각자 다른 속도와 범위로 움직이는 모습을 보여준다.

<Boundary (개인의 영역)> - Kinetic Art, 50x30x30(cm) Aluminum, Servo Motor, Arduino, Acryl, 3D Print(PLA) made by. @mingyus02 - 현대인들은 길거리나 대중교통 속에서 출퇴근하는 동안 인파 속에서 밀려나거나, 혹은 술에 취하거나, 피곤함에 지쳐서 등의 이유로 비틀거리는 모습을 보여준다. 다양한 이유로 비틀거리는 모습을 볼 수 있지만 다른 이들에게 부딪히지 않으려는 모습 역시 보여준다. 다른 이들의 개인의 영역을 존중해주는 것과 동시에 본인 개인의 영역을 지키기 위해서 사람들은 다른 이들과의 충돌을 피한다. Boundary(개인의 영역)은 계속해서 흔들리고 비틀거리고 있지만 서로 부딪히지 않기 위해 다시 중심을 잡으려는 움직임을 기계에 부여한 작업이다. 개인의 영역을 두고 있는 3개의 모듈은 한 방향으로 계속해서 회전하면서 흔들리는 어지러운 모습을 보여주며 서로 부딪히기도 멀어지기도 피해가기도 하는 모습을 보여주며 일상 생활 속 사람들의 모습을 재현한다. 생명체의 움직임을 재현하는 기계를 통해 그 움직임(본질) 속 담겨있는 감정과 태도를 이야기하려한다.
