What a wonderful day ! We love our community and are so grateful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us today! We appreciate our friends @hummingbirdchocolate @northmarket.almonte @ottawavalleycoffee.almonte @teaandcakecater who provided treats and prizes for our wheel of fortune! To @librofm for their golden ticket which was found in record time! Huge thanks to Chris and Jill ( the OG owners of the bookshop) for their visit this morning ( Nice to see Terry too!). So great to see all our local supporters today, alongside all our visitors from #CIBD Ottawa Bookstore Crawl! Shoutout to our Ottawa Bookstore Pals who make this weekend so much fun- @thespanielstale @singingpebble @octopusbooks @booksonbeechwood @perfectbooksottawa @worldofmapsottawa @lovelylabooks @evermore.booktique ! The fun continues on Sunday, come see @booksellersarah and @getallbookedup !

Happy Earth Day children’s book edition!When it comes to kids, the root of learning to care for the earth is space for curiosity and connection rather than information overload. We love how these stories invite children into the natural world with gentle playfulness and create a sense of belonging. Fun fact, many of these picks are also @wildchild.natureproject-approved by Julia’s forest school class!What are some of your favourite earth-centred children’s stories? How will you be celebrating #earthday with your little ones?

The Indie Bookstore Weekend celebrations haven’t even started yet but we’re already over here having way too much fun We’ve been busy prepping lots of great prizes for this coming Saturday. Ann braved the dark depths of our basement and dusted the cobwebs off our prize wheel JUST for this once a year occasion so be sure to come give it a spin!Grab your passport starting this Friday and visit all the participating bookshops on the Ottawa Indie Bookstore Crawl: @booksonbeechwood @evermore.booktique @lovelylabooks @octopusbooks @perfectbooksottawa @singingpebble @thespanielstale @worldofmapsottawaSpecial shoutout to @jaspi.e for the guest appearance in this video.
