Book 28 of 2026📚✨ . Our Perfect Storm - Carley Fortune . Thanks to @millstreetbooks for the copy of this latest release from @carleyfortune . I have read every book by this popular author and enjoyed them all including this one . They are always a quick read that takes you away on a romantic journey to places that are familiar to us here in Canada . This time we follow Frankie and George childhood friends that have shared everything and supported each other always despite the ups and downs of life and their relationship . One day when Frankie is about to get married she is waiting to see if George will support her one more time after a long time apart . He shows up and she thinks her life is complete but then everything changes overnight . The wedding is cancelled, George comes to her side, their feelings come to the surface and they try to rekindle their friendship . What happens next, what do they both want and how can they make that happen . A romantic ride and enticing descriptions of a trip to Tofino that makes me want to visit! . Have you read it yet? Have you read them all? #getallbookedup #bookreview #carleyfortune #ourperfectstorm #millstreetbooks

Book 27 of 2026📚✨ . The Unforgettable Mailman - April Howells . A recent release and great read recommended by a friend . I always love a story thats heartwarming, with different generations forming connections and changing each others lives . This one is set in 1960’s Chicago where me meet octogenarian Henry Walton, a man full of energy and determination . He decides to take the law into his own hands when the post office temporarily closes and the mail piles up undelivered . He hatches a plan to take some of the letters himself and deliver them wherever that takes him . Along the way he meets interesting people and even forms new friendships . Of course someone tries to stop him but no matter happens including early dementia he pushes through . He feels that letters are what keep us all connected no matter where we are or what life brings along the way . I love getting mail and sending it and always have #getallbookedup #bookreview #millstreetbooks #aprilhowells #theunforgettablemailman

Book 26 of 2026📚✨ . The Storyteller’s Secret - Sophie Austin . The cover and the title drew me in of course but this book is actually not about books! It tells us all about Ava and her ability to find other peoples stories through hypnosis and mesmerism . Historical fiction, family drama, loss and love . Ava is stuck in the past, feels lost and unsure about her place in life. . Her brother Oliver feels responsible for some of her heartache and has a secret he wants to share. . Damien a troubled soul shows up and seemingly finds Ava accidentally, slowly working his way into her heart . Meanwhile his secrets are deep inside and with her mysterious skills, Ava tries to help him face his past and move on . A story of peoples stories and sharing them with each other #getallbookedup #bookreview #thestorytellerssecret #sophieaustin #millstreetbooks

Book 24 of 2026📚✨ . Raising Hare - Chloe Dalton . This book has been on my radar for a while and highly recommended by many . It is a memoir about Chloe Dalton during the pandemic when she leaves the city for the country and her life changes in many ways . She comes across a tiny baby hare in danger for it’s life and she makes the decision to try and help protect it . We learn all about how hares live, how a baby is actually called a leveret and how Chloe figures out how to care for it while at the same time not trying to make it a pet . The story of their relationship and how it blossoms is interesting, informative and heartwarming at the same time . Their journey together provides companionship and surprises along the way . I can see why it’s such a popular read and I’m glad I added it to my collection . It really made me curious and interested in the lives of animals we don’t always think about in everyday life . Have you read it yet? #getallbookedup #bookreview #raisinghare #chloedalton #millstreetbooks

Book 23 of 2026📚✨ . Everyday I Read - Hwang Bo-Reum . I loved the cover and the title so of course had to read it. I also really enjoyed the author’s fiction book Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop . This one is non fiction and broken up into 53 ways to get closer to books. . A collection of essays about how we can enjoy reading, how to find ways to connect to books and what they can do for us . There are lots of references to books I haven’t read so it was lost on me at times but there were moments that resonated with me and of course the love of reading and books was always present . As the title says Every day I read and I certainly do! Books and reading are always part of my life and my daily routine 📚 . Happy Reading Everyone today and every day 😊 . What book is in your hands today? I’m currently reading a non fiction memoir called Raising Hare by @chloedaltonuk #getallbookedup #bookreview #everydayiread #hwangboreum #millstreetbooks

Book 22 of 2026📚✨ . When We Were Young and Brave - Hazel Gaynor . When I find an author I love I keep reading book after book and Hazel Gaynor is one of those. Each book has been a great read . This one is a story set in China in 1941 about children and teachers in a missionary school. Japan declares war and their peaceful life is changed overnight as soldiers take over their school . As life gets harder the teachers support each other and try to keep spirits up and protect the children from the realities of their situation . As time goes by it all changes again and they are moved to an internment camp where they experience even more deprivation and danger . Without their parents and home the teachers become their place of safety, their inspiration and their family. . A book of hardships but also hope based on true events . Have you read any Hazel Gaynor books? . Any historical fiction authors or books you love? #getallbookedup #bookreview #hazelgaynor #whenwewereyoungandbrave #millstreetbooks
